I had to have my appendix removed last week and I am 9 weeks pregnant. I am concerned of the possible affects that the anastetic might have had on the baby. They also gave me morphine once I got out of surgery. They told me that neither should affect the baby but I cant help but worry. Is there any one out there that went through something simular and can maybe put my mind at ease??

They would not have given you general or morphine if they didn't think it was safe... and if there should be anything for you to be worried about... possible effects on your pregnancy or your baby, they would have addressed them to you BEFORE your surgery!! It'll be ok!! talk to your OB about it if you're really concerned... but i wouldn't lose any sleep over it!
