What does everyone think of the Target Brand (Up & Up) formula? My daughter is on Similac Advance right now because that is just what we started her on when I couldn't breastfeed anymore. She is about 5 months and I am thinking about switching her formula. She is eating cereal as well as some solids and tolerates them just fine. As I was standing in the aisle at Target today, I looked at their formula and it is almost $10 cheaper and you get more...wow!! I have a friend that uses it and likes it, but I wanted to get some other opinions. Does your child have any more gas or spit up with it? Thanks! :)

I use the up & up! I started with the Enfamil Lipil brand that we got from the hospital, and I breastfed until he got teeth. Been using it for a while now, and it's just as good as the enfamil. It says right on the package to compare it, and I haven't had any trouble at all!

If you look at the cans, Wal Mart brand, Target brand, etc...they all have the same ingredients and are actually a lot of them made a the same place...I have not used name brands with either of my children...half the price...and the same ingredients!

I used Target Brand soy formula with both my boys. They were great on it and I liked the savings!

My son is on Target Brand soy formula. If you read the ingredients its pretty much all the same. maybe one or two are .05 different. It even compares enfamil and Similac on the back of the Target can! Its great formula, we have no issues. Just more money in the pocket!

The US is NOT China, baby formula (like prenatal vitamins) are EXTREMELY regulated.

My Son was on Similac Sensitive but I did not qualify for WIC and it was killing me as a single mom. One of the Drs I worked for recommended target brand (Thats what HIS daughter was on, so its not just about income!) he said get a can of each and ocmpare labels, there are subtle differences but not much of one!

We made the switch and my son did just as well on the target brand. The only hard thing was i HAD to go to target to buy formula (so I had to make sure I didnt run low) but the savings was Beyond Worth It!

I always had a can or two of the Wal-Mart brand on hand in a pinch. Normally my son was on Enfamil Premium. He didn't notice any difference and before he went from Enfamil w/Iron to Enfamil Premium, he actually preferred the Wal-Mart brand.

I was told that there is nothing wrong with getting the store brand of formula. With my first, my WIC nurse told me if I ever ran out of formula to buy the store brand because it is cheaper and the same thing. Now with my second, I don't have WIC and my doctor told me I can buy the store brand as well. So I would say go ahead and change it but maybe start slowly like mixing the new stuff in with the old stuff for a week or so.
