What age do babies start to teeth? And what are the symptoms?? I have a 4month old and his sleeping is not going well at night, waking every hour? His only done that a couple of times, bur is starting to dribble, not much only little and when i put my finger in his mouth his goes to bite on ot???

it starts around 6 months but may start earlier, or upto 1 year old. teething can cause pain in gums, increased dribbling, dribble rash on face or chin, changes to feeding patterns, different bowel motions (not dirrhoea)
i think dribbling at this age is normal as my 3 month old also has started to dribble. his waking up every hour at night do u think he might be going thru a growth spurt ? or too hot or too cold maybe? my little one also has his days of being unsettled and sometimes he can sleep upto 6-8 hours straight. dont really know why. hope this helps. good luck with ur little one :)

look at his gum's if they are turning white where the teeth will be then they will be coming soon. when the teething starts it can sometimes take a long time for them to come through or they can come out fast and all at once. drooling is usually the first sign if you are unsure check to see if his gum's are turning white that is a very good sign. if the are bothering him teething rings and anything he can chew is really good to keep handy and Tylenol.

thanx, i might get some teething rings!! I will keep an eye on him and see what happens in the next couple of days! I did read teething can start from 3months but might not get a tooth through till 6months.......!! Lately he has just been waking at night and crying, he was sleeping so well too........! He has started to grab things and put to his mouth, bib, toys, my fingers and he loves sucking his.......!!

Hi, My son is nearly 6 months and has two teeth through and getting another two... It's all happening at once!!!
The syptoms, I found, were drooling (a lot of it), chewing on his hands, clothes, anything that he could put in his mouth, my fingers. Sudden outbursts of screaming/crying during his sleep, and tugging at his ears.
It sounds like your little one is starting to teeth. All babies are different, they can start teething as early as 3 months to as late as 12 months.
Try using a chilled teething ring, or teething gel if he is too unsettled.
