Tell me what you think Mamas

Tonight I was alerted to the fact that a friend of my younger sister's took a picture of a picture of my son. She had pictures of my son's first birthday posted on her Facebook ( which is fine with me) we both have privacy settings only allowing friends to see the content we post. The picture of my son was the classic first birthday photo cake all over his face a goofy grin and at the moment she took the picture somewhat crossed eyes. Cute to me, but to a 16 year old it looks like a stoned baby. So this boy took a picture of the picture and posted it to his wall and tagged one of his friends in it. I immediately lost it, I don't think it is right for someone to take something from someone else without permission for one and two its a picture of a baby. Not meant for funny jokes between immature friends. How would you mamas react?

** the picture has been removed, My fiancee called the boy's parents and it was removed immediately. I'm still just a little mad and wonder what you all think?

This happened to my friend also.. but he took a picture off of her facebook of her son sleeping & a can of beer next to him. (Not in the best taste but it was a joke) She had hundreds of people report the picture as abuse so facebook automatically deleted it.

I would be crazy mad too I wont allow any of my friends or family to post pictures of my daughters because even if they have their stuff set so only their friends can view it they have some creepy friends lol... you did the right thing

i would go nutss too no one has the right to take that away from u .... they could use it inappropriately and it could just be copied by lots of other people and end up in the wrong hands i would do exactly the same

I would be pissed, people shouldn't be making fun of your baby on facebook let alone stealing photos of him and posting it on their own profile so other people can make fun of him, I would have done the same as you did in ringing the kids parents and having it removed and I would also be telling whoever had the photos on their profile to start off with to not ever put anymore photos of your child on the internet without your approval, the internet can be an evil thing sometimes and you as a parent have to be very selective in what pictures you put online for other people to look at, so no I don't think you have over reacted.

I wouldn't be too concerned. But that's just me. I wouldn't post a pic of my kid on the interwebz if I cared which people saw it.
