Really! ARGH!!! It has been 3 months, and I am just waiting...lol.
I never got one myself but instead of worring about it how about be thankful! You've created a beautiful baby! I did however get stretch marks while I was pregnant and when I look at them the only thing that I can do is smile :)
i never got one either, not sure why but hey im glad.. i got stretch marks too tho.. n they suck! how could u smile when seeing them?

All of yall answer are good. But you can't get rid of it. I was born with that line down the center of my stomach. And even when i was pregnant i had it and will forever have it. Its my birth mark. This was my first child. So don't just think you get them and go away. Of course the strech marks i want gone. Which they say pure mineral oil will help, especially while your pregnant. I didn't get those til after he was out of the womb. So now i am trying the mineral oil. So next summer i will be able to have my swimming suit on at disney land for his first birthday. I wouldn't change anything about him. I always tell god thanks for blessing me with him. Do that and if it is reallyment for the line to leave it will. I love mine cause i have always had it. But the strech marks will be worked off on the tremill this winter.

My daughter is 6 months old and i STILL have it, it's very light, but I'm breastfeeding and I heard the breastfeeding makes it last longer cause of the hormones or what not.

Technically you always have it. It just becomes more noticeable when you get pregnant and gain weight. Before and later after pregnancy it's called linea alba (white line). During pregnancy it's called linea negra (black line). It shows up more noticeable on dark skinned women and tanning may make it more noticeable. You can try eaing folic acid, green leafy veggies, and whole wheat. (p.214-215 What to Expect While Your Expecting)

my daughter is 17 months and mine definitely got lighter a few months after delivery but it's still present now. It's really the only thing left from my pregnancy that's noticable..never had stretch marks or anything. It's really light starts about an inch below my belly button and runs down now. I'm always curious what will happen to it with a second pregnancy Lol

I had my son 3 months ago and my line is completely gone now. I think it's different for everyone. As soon as the doctor cleared me I started working out again and I think that and being outside helped a lot!

My daughter is 2 1/2 and I still have the line, it was darker when I was pregnant, but went very faint where you can barely see it...I'm pregnant again (7 1/2 months) and don't really notice anything...for both pregnancies, I've used baby oil(1st) and baby oil gel(currently) and have had no stretch marks :)

Ask your doctor about it once! It's DEAD SKIN! Scrub it off with your luffa! I had mine for about three months after I had baby, then I heard the doctor tell my friend Cassie (we were pregnant together) to scrub it off... It worked! Three days of scrubbing and it was gone!
OH YEAH! My sister n law said hers came off in one big string like thing .She just peeled it off. weird!!

The line is there because of hormones. My doctor said that it may never completely go away. My daughter is almost 8 months old and you can BARELY see anything and I am like glowing white. Hang in there!! The line is the least of my worries, I have GOT to get rid of the jelly belly!! :o) and your ab muscles never go back to where they were before. They say they separate like 5 inches apart and they are usually an inch or less apart. Us poor poor women. I still can't do anything with my abs. If I even use them to get up (which I try to use them as much as possible to get them working right again) they feel like they are going to explode then they feel like they are deflating and hurt really badly. My sister-n-law has a 2 year old and she said shes just now able to work out her abs. ********the joys of being a mommy******
I should say that my sister n law and I both had emergency C-sections so that might be a tad different for the whole ab muscle thing since ours were sliced in half.

I think it has to do with how quickly u lose the weight you gained during pregnancy, my sons 6 and 1/2 mos. and i can faintly still see it. u can also try something with collagen and elastin to help shrink your belly back down. hope it helps!

yes, it is just because of hormones. it could take a while, but once your hormone levels are back to normal then you shouldnt be able to see it anymore

With my first one, I was able to rub it off in the shower, Weird! This time, it doesn't seem to be coming off but is very faint. The darker parts in my belly button I can rub off though. It'll go away, hang in there. :o)
