Has anyone read "The No-Cry Sleep Solution" or "The No-Cry Nap Solution" by Elizabeth Pantley? I'm thinking of picking them up, and would love to hear your reviews!

That sounds interesting, too. I have noticed that when we get up at a consistent time, we tend to go to bed at a consistent time, too. I've been doing that at night, too - feeding changing, back to bed. The trouble I'm having is getting him down for the night initially. I've tried laying him down still awake, or asleep... right after nursing, or not. We're having trouble. Any tips for that?

Basically when Zanden wakes up during the day we change his diaper, feed him, burp him, play with him for awhile and then put him to bed. At night we change his diaper, feed him, burp him and then put him straight back to bed.

He makes his own schedule in terms of how long he sleeps or goes between feedings but we structure his awake time so he doesn't get dependent on being nursed or rocked to sleep and so far it's really working for us.

The trick is to be flexible, feed your baby when he or she is hungry but try and structure their awake time.

Amanda - search for it on Amazon.com. I read through the reviews and they were really informative!

Nicole - I'm not familiar with the babywise method. Is that one where you help them self-soothe? I'm open to suggestion at this point. :)

Amber - That's great to hear! Once I get my son down for the night, he sleeps well, but we're having a heck of a time getting him to sleep initially. I'm optimistic! I go back to work Monday, so we need to get our sleeping in check eventually.

My son just turned 1 on Saturday and I just bought the book a month ago since my son was almost 1 and still not sleeping well at night. I couldn't put the book down and was so excited to try something new. My son is sleeping so much better now. If he gets up at all it is just for a few minutes once a night unlike before. I would definately get the book. I bought it on amazon.com and paid $7 including the shipping. I would recommend it to everyone.

I use the babywise method and it works great for us. Haven't explored the no-cry method.
