My 3 year olds birthday was Car's 2 themed. He loves the movie and still talks about the cake I made him 6 months later. I used some Cars character figurines to decorate the cake and painted on a racetrack and grass. I had to keep the kids out of the fridge before it was time for cake because they kept wanting to look at it. I also got wooden race cars for the kids to decorate. I bet you could use whatever your child's favorite movie is and it would be a hit!

Hey, what about Curious George theme birthday party? Also, there are many other interesting themes for boys apart from the Pirate theme. Here is an interesting link I have found for you. Check out the themes here and I am sure you and your hubby would like something out of them.

Hey love...why don't you do a farm theme and hire a petting zoo to come out. I think that would be great fun!

well i dont know if your child likes cartoons. but my daughter is obsessed with mickey mouse clubhouse. since she is a girl we are having a minnie party but it would be way easier to do mickey. they have all the paper plates and things to have the party at most party stores. also if you look on playhousedisney.com they have birthday ideas
mickey mouse was his 1st b-day theme :) but thank you anyways. i greatly appreciate it

how about a costume party...most kids love to dress up and it gives those halloween costumes another use.
