My son is two as of April and his father and I separated last November. He loves his time with both of us and I know his dad is really great with him but whether he comes to pick him up or I drop him off he simply looses his cookies.... Crying, screaming, throwing himself about. I have tried calmly explaning that I would see him the next day and that he will have so much fun at Daddy's house. I make a big deal out of going there and clap and celebrate. Nothing yet has worked please help!

My SD use to do this everytime we brought her back to her mom's. Just try not to feed into it. They do grow out of it! My SD is almost 4 now and hasn't had a fit over it in almost a year.

Don't react when he throws his tantrum. Say your goodbye's. I love you, have fun, I'll see you tomorrow. Don't pity him. Ignore when he throws himself down, walk away. It sounds like he's just being a stinker. He's probably fine with his dad 5 minutes after you leave. It's just the leaving that bothers him. I had the same issues with daycare. Good luck :)
