I don't know if your husband likes to work out, but my husband and I go to the gym together while my mom watches the baby. It's a good way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. We get to spend time together and I can get to the gym :)

perhaps you could try focusing on you when baby is sleeping, have dad focus on baby when he gets home from work so that you can rest and prepare to focus on him with appreciation...all the best

Honestly, the biggest thing that helped me was setting things up the night before. I would get my oatmeal all together so in the morning I could just pour the water in and throw it in the microwave, get the coffee maker ready, etc. The only way for me to fall asleep is by having a routine that makes me feel like everything is done and will go smoothly tomorrow. My day is very routine based and my husband is really helpful.

thats not wrong, thats the way we all feel at times. does your other half help with the chores? set up a schedual, he cooks one day and you clean, the next day switch. mondays you bathe baby tuesdays he does ect. take turns rocking to sleep or feeding. Your doing great, just remember to take a deep breath and relax. if you don't want to cook have deli sandwiches or order pizza. when mine were babys we ate off paper plates for almost a year, because i was so not doing a ton of dishes. as for sleep, well we will sit to watch a movie and usually get through half before passing out. i actually fell asleep mid video game one night :) remember the it's not quantity it's quality that matters :)

Im trying to get into that rythm! But its hard when ur other half throws u off it at times. LOL So how do u schedule in sleep?? haha I guess my fear is that I dont give enough time to my hubby or son since I come home tired after a long stressfull days of work. I know not to take home work issues, but I just want to relax but its like I need to kick in my mommy gear up another notch and cook dinner, play with baby, bathe baby, clean kitchen, etc. Just feels like more work. Is is wrong to feel like that? I love my family very much. But sometimes I just feel overwhelm. =(

it's hard to do, we all eventualy find our own rythm. take 10 min durring nap time to relax or exercise or whatever, make it you time. me i get up before everyone else and have my coffee, thats my mommy time. after the kids are asleep it me and my hunni time, and me and the kids play before and after work and school. thats what works for us, but as i said we all have a different rythm, you will find yours :)
