Ugh - I'm a no spanking kind of mom. But what do you do when you spend more time re-putting your child in time out?

It can sometimes take well over an hour until the child stays put. First time they're put in time-out, explain that what they have done isn't right and that they need to sit there and think about what they did wrong. If they get up, put them back. Don't say anything to them, just keep putting them back. Yes, it's tire-some but it does work well if you stick with it.

Sounds like you have a strong-willed child. You may have to find the right punishment for your child. If he has a favorite toy then put it up. Sometimes you have to be creative. If you stick with the time outs then keep putting the child there until it is completed. It could take an hour but he has to know that you are the adult and you must be listened to. Good Luck.
