I recently found out that im pregnant with my second child. Im very exhausted and tired. I cant seem to sleep at night although thats all that I want to do. I forgot how tired u feel when ur pregnant. How long does this last? Is it normal to be this tired? Is there anything I can do to sleep better at night and not feel so drained when I wake up?

Gosh I know exactly how you feel. I'm not pregnant right now, but I had my son almost 8 months ago & I remember that exhaustion. I was tired during my 1st trimester & then it went away during my 2nd. But gosh, that 3rd trimester was rough for me. I was working full time and on my feet a lot, so that didn't help the situation. Of course, every pregnancy is different for each woman, so you might not deal with it in the 3rd trimester like I did. Do you go to bed and get up in the morning at pretty much the same time everyday? If not, try to get on a consistent sleeping schedule. Also, do you have one of those body pillows that you could use? Continue to take your pre-natal vitamins & try your best to eat as healthy as possible to keep your energy up. Good luck!!

I have a 2 year old and a 6 weeks old. The first trimester, I was so drained and couldn't sleep at all even though that is all I wanted to do as well. My OB said I could take some Benadryl to help me sleep at night. Then I had a hard time sleeping the last 6 weeks of my pregnancy due to being so uncomfortable and her moving around so much. Then after having the baby when you have your body back and can actually sleep comfortably you can't sleep because you have a new born that keeps waking up all night long. But it is all worth it :)

Well congrats on your pregnancy! :) For me I was completely exhausted for the entire first trimester and then the second was just fabulous and then I was completely exhausted again during my third trimester. It may vary from person to person but that's what it was like for me. Good luck and hang in there Momma!

It lasts pretty much through the 1st trimester, when the placenta hasn't formed fully and the baby is living directly off of you. There's not much you can do but wait, take naps or at least rest whenever you can, and eat healthy. Congrats!

I feel your pain! I just recently found out I am pregnant with my 4th child and I couldn't function for about 8 weeks, I was so exhausted. The exhaustion went away for me at around 11 weeks. I feel pretty good now though. Try and nap during the day if you can. Make sure and eat very healthy (lots of protein, yogurt, fruit and veggies will really help). Also I sleep with a hot pack at night that I can move around to where ever I am currently hurting. Good Luck. It will get better!
