To Sell or Not to Sell that is the question?

My husband and I sell AVON. We just started about a few months ago but now he's laid off and we get unemployment... plus the pale grant for his schooling. So if we were to cancel AVON we can't sign up again for six months... We can either take the risk and push selling AVON full force and make enough to survive or more than enough... or If we don't make enough then we lose our unemployment and any way to pay our bills... so i guess the question is should we risk it or not?

That is such a tough decision. I think there are a lot of variables to take into consideration. Such as how much money you have been making from it, or how much of that seems to be reliable. Do you have a network of people that will provide more potential customers? What about a back up plan? If you back out of it do you know other work from home companies (I would be happy to tell you about mine)? If you try and don't make enough, do you have a savings? Without knowing these it is hard to say what I would do in your situation. I wish you all the best. Feel free to message me.

No. I wouldn't risk it. I personally sell Avon...and no matter how much I sell, I am not making enough to really pay any of our bills. I make a little bit and so I use that to purchase some needs but nothing else besides that.

If business has been really really good, that's good, but remember, the failing economy is screwing everyone, so people may not have the money to buy or be as inclined to buy Avon. I'm not saying that if you've been doing good that you're not going to continue to do so, but there's always that risk. Good luck!

I personally would chance it. I hate depending on the government for anything so I would go at it full steam ahead while he also looked for another job.

well it really depends on if your avon business has been really good enough to live on and steady if it has and you are confident that you can keep the business going good and steady then i would take the risk but if your avon hasn't been steady or that great i know i wouln't take the chance you can always sell the avon again later if you want so good luck

I guess it depends on how you've been selling in the last couple of months. If business has been really good and you are confident that it will continue to be good, then do it. If you are unsure, don't do it.

Personally I don't have enough confidence in my self to say yes I'm definitely going to make that money. I'm the kind of person who likes to know exactly how much money i'll be getting when, so I can have our bills in order (or find a way to handle them before they come up). I wouldn't, but I know a few people that do and are pretty successful with it.
