"Traditional"? Try Mary, or Anne, Sandra, Rose...Why not try a "baby name generator", especially if either of you are making a big deal about the naming process.

My girls are Lily Jean and Sadie Jane if I ever have another girl her name will be Daphne Jade I have a lil guy but his dad named him entirely by family tradition... poor kid is stuck with ( mind you I love his first name) Preston David Larry. Seriously folks, who names their kids Larry anymore??

Well since you have picked out a boys name and that is Mason, why not go with Madison for a girl?

My daughters name is Clara. Many people have told me its very old fashioned. I like them because there very pretty and feminine and you dont hear them very often. You could also do Olivia, Victoria, or Amelia :]

We thought Mason was original and cute but now it's EVERYWHERE. Every T-ball game, playground, and classroom seems to have one. Emma is very popular to. If I could go back and find a more unique name I would for that reason I'd advise against Mason. Logan is not nearly as common which is the other name we were considering.
Emma is a very popular name right now as well. I thinnk Catherine is pretty safe but I love Zoey. It reminds me of a name like Molly or Lily cute, friendly, and feminine. No matter what age she is those are all good first impression. Love Zoey.

Well i guess ill put my two cents in, i think that that names you have mentioned are lovely, but Catherine and Emma are very very common, i cant even count the number of catherines/katie's i went to school with, but it is still a really lovely name. I have two boys and will probably not have any more kids but if i were to have a girl, i really liked the names India or indi for short, Maddison, Addison and Lilly. Its probably just as well i didnt have a girl, i wouldnt have been able to choose which name to go with! lol :o) good luck!

we called our daughter Harriet Evelyn Rose (shortened to Harri) and our second daughter will be called Amelia Sinead Antoinette (shortened to Millie). I quite like the older names :) good luck

i think whatever nameyou choose will fit her she will mold to it i went untraditional named my girl valynncia the thing is they make the name the name doesnt make them and as long as they are raised well they will be fine adults no matter what their name is i like all three names one thing i considered though is i did not want them to be like 1 of 20 ambers or some other common name you hear all the time you want them to be unique as well thats why i went very untraditional reguardless whatever you name her she will be that andi think that she would be a very fine grown up miss zoey reandy or whatever her last name will be as well as catherine or emma

Emma is cute and Zoey is too, but I particularly LOVE Catherine. Cathy is a good grownup nickname or even when they're little, though a little old fashioned to me. But what I really like is Cat. I love that as a nickname for some reason.

Zoey is very cute and you dont hear it very often! My husband and I had the same problem when we found out we were having a girl we wanted something that no one in our family had so we came up with Lillian Grace or Natalie Victoria but we decided at the last minute to name her Lillian (Lilly) Elise. My daughter will be 4 in jan. and i couldnt picture her being named anything else.

My baby girl (born Jan this year, now 9 months) is named Natalia - I picked this as I wanted something that was a little different and like you said "half her class won't have the same name" yet it's not too different that the other kids will pick on her...I do know a few "Nigel"s LOL

I really like Catherine!!! But then I named my daughter Elizabeth Grace:) I've always liked Elizabeth and I figured that if she doesn't like it as she gets older there are a lot of different names that she can derive from it. Oh and I knew a Zoe when I was younger so she'd now be an adult Zoe:)

forgot to mention that my older 2 daughters are named Arianna Lynn (goes by Aries, even in school) and Genevieve Elizabeth (goes by Gen). They are 10 and 9. When I asked them the other day if they liked their names, both said they did. I also have a son named Mark Anthony, Jr. ;)

We named our daughter Martha Lucia...She is 10 months and we call her Luci. I think it suits her age better than Martha, which is a very grown up name. When she is old enough she can decide what she wants to go by. What if you chose a more grownup name that has a cute nickname? That way she could have the cute little baby nickname and later when she's older she can decide for herself if she wants the grown up version or prefers the nickname.

I know 2 Zoe(y)s and I love the name as well. One is 10 (Zoe), my niece, and she carries the name quite well. She is full of life, fun and smart. The other is 11 months (Zoey), she belongs to a friend of mine. Anyway, like others have said Zoe is growing in popularity and there will be a lot of adult women named Zoe in the not too distant future. A friend of mine recently named her little girl Caroline Oliviah, which I think is beautiful as well. I also love the name Leona, not sure why, just always thought it was a pretty name. And your boy name is one that I have always liked.

im not a fan of totally traditional names as id hate my child to be one of 6 in class with the same name. We named our son William as we felt it wasnt to common but was a good strong name as he got older.
Our daughters name is Adryane we really liked it and changed the spelling so it was different and more girly. although with having changed the spelling she may get mis spelt bday cards etc through school but im sure it wont be that big of a problem. I was foever getting incorrect spelling and mis pronounciation of my name as a child
Its spelt Elysia but pronounced A-lis-e-a and i have to say even with the trouble i love it as its unique

I love the name Zoey or Zoe. I opted out of naming my daughter that though because my family kept giving me a hard time about it but it seems now that more and more people are using that name. I named my daughter Olivia Brianne. Olivia was no question...i just had to figure out a name to go with it. I think Catherine is nice too. :)

I'm also one who loves the name Zoey. I love it spelled Zoë! My husband was the one not a fan of it. We did want something unique, but not too crazy. We went with Kadence Reagan for our daughter. Kadence I feel sounds like a strong womens name and right now many call her Kadie which is a cutesy lil' girls name. :o) Good luck on your big decision!

We had the hardest time trying to decide on our daughter's name. If we'd been having a boy the second time, that name was already decided on, Lachlan Ford. We'd literally decided 4 days before I was in labour, 3 weeks early. We figure she liked the name. LOL!

The names we were bouncing around were Kaitlyn/Caitlyn, Katie, Kayla (or I wanted Caela), Annalyn (the two grandmother name's put together), Abby/Abbey/Abbie and Elizabeth. In the end, we decided on Abbie Elizabeth. My partner wanted Abbey but I didn't want my daughter named after a church. We figure Abbie can still be seen as an adult's name, you can see Abbie as the name of someone in various jobs, etc.

I actually think Zoey is a great name! =) Our daughters name is Amaya Brielle. If we have another girl, we are going to name her Elliana or Gabriella. I love the name Mason btw. Zoey is unique, and I think that's great! Also if you like Emma (it is really common now though, which is why we didn't choose that one even though we love it!)...Emmalise. It's different, but rather beautiful IMO. It's my nieces middle name too though, so I may be biased lol. Or there is always Emmy which is close to Emma, but just a bit different. Whatever name you choose, I'm sure it will be great!

I'm a fan of traditional elegance in names for girls. My daughter's name is Grace Elizabeth. I also like the names Isabella, Annaleise, and Adelina all old school names that bring to mind important well dressed women to me lol.
