Hi, my husband and I are going to be traveling by air in July and by then we will have 3 yro b/g twins, and a 1 yro son. What are the best ways to occupy them during the trip? It's only going to be about a two hour flight but they've never been on an air plain before. Also does anyone know what the requirement is for a child having to use a car seat in an air plain?

A good tip is to pack a bag well in advance of new things for them to play with...brand new colouring book, pencils, new books that they haven't read before, maybe even a new snuggie toy....That way, they have something special for the trip and their interest should be piqued for longer.

Also, kids that age don't have a long attention span so only give them one thing at a time, then when they start getting restless, put that one away and give them something different.

In Australia, domestic flights just have a special seatbelt for children under 2 to be on your lap...over 2 and they need their own seat. I have never used (or seen) a carseat used on the plane before...the closest I've seen was a British couple who had a speciallised "H" harness for their daughter rather than have her in just the lap-belt.

Good luck with it :)

Children dont.usually use car seats on planes. U need to check with the airline cuz after a certain age u have to pay full price for a seat :( . I would prob say usual stuff like.drawing ect to occupy them.
