Hi does anyone have any suggestions for a unique baby girls name starting with "A". I've always like girls names starting with A but want something a bit different.

Aurora or Autumn

Love these names. Considered both for my daughter. We had Autumn Rose picked out but my husband and I named her Sky Madyson.

There are a lot of great replies here.  I'm due with my 1st daughter next week and we are naming her Alexis... not all that uncommon, but another A name to think about.

Just remember whatever you choose to think about the spelling for when she gets to school.  As a teacher, I can tell you how bad we feel butchering kids names because parents get just a little too "creative" with spellings.  But as bad as the teachers feel, we can see it in the faces of the kids how annoyed and frustrated they get with dealing with this year after year.  Good luck :)

Ailie? (I-Lee) I've met very few people other than direct family with my name. Unless you're in the UK.

Another idea that i posted to another thread was that I went looking for a girls name and I ended up finding one i liked (though i changed it a little) on a elfin/gnomes name list...you can also try a site called "2000 names" and it has trillions of names from different countries..... goodluck

My daughter's name is Arabella (Air-a-bella). We call her Bella for short. I wanted her to have a unique name but not weird. I get lots of compliments on the name and have never met another Arabella. Good luck!

I was going to name my daughter Ariya or Amariya (a-mar-ee-ya)... I really like Ariya but then everyone voted against me and she was named Makaila after her father...
