Since Beck is so short and sharp, perhaps use a longer name with more syllables? My daughter's name is Imagen (from the Irish classic, Imogen), and I highly recommend taking common names and just changing a letter as you've done for something unique, but not so unique as to cause embarassment or hatred. Also, my mother in law's name is Lauris (Latin for "noble") and I love that.
