I'm just curious how many people had their doctor tell them they were having a boy or girl on the ultrasound, then were surprised when they delivered the opposite sex. This hasn't happened to me, but it has happened to someone I know and I want to see how common it is or isn't.

they told me i was having a boy at 24 weeks & ended up wuth a boy... it was pretty obvious it was a boy at the 3D ultrasound... we saw it clearly!! thank god i ended up with a boy because i had bounght ALOT of baby boy clothes..

with my first one they said it was a girl and it was a boy so i went out and bought all girl stuff thank god my mom went and got boys stuff also

They were right about my baby, they told me at 20 weeks she was a girl, and she was. Turns out she was lying on her back with her legs spread (very ladylike) so they were sure. I can't remember which way it is, but one of the sex's is more prone to error, as in, its more likely that a mistake is made with the gender (i think it may be girl??)

They told me at 24 weeks 80 percent chance she was a girl but couldn't be completely confident because she was breech....however 3 more ultrasounds still breech and still felt it was a girl....and I ended having my daughter.

My doctor swore it was a girl at my 20 week visit, but then i had to go to an ultrasound specialist and she definately saw a penis. the NEXT time i got an ultrasound at my doctor's he said it was a girl again. I have a big 1 year old BOY now! haha...the ultrasound tech. laughed when i told her he said it was a girl, she said "Doctor's don't know, they just look at these things to see if a baby's in there".
