Hello lovely ladies... I am so excited about me & my hub deciding we want to have another child, so we are going to try to get pregnant! When I caught with my son, we wern't trying so it was a beautiful shock! I was just wondering when the best times are to try & what can I do to help bring my chances up of catching quickly! I'd love a baby girl but I'd be happy no matter what aslong as the baby is healthy! :) Thanks Ladies! xx

Wait 4 days after the end of your period and then have sex once daily for 3-5 days. Those are your most fertile days. Worked like a charm for me and I have 3 beautiful kids.

I have heard that if you plan and try you fail.I have actually tried that.I had planned for my 5th child and the whole time I tried and planned and tracked ovulation I couldnt get preg. One day I decided to stop tryin and found out 1 month later I was preg.So my advice is to not try, plan,or think about it and just let it happen.I am now preg with my 6th child.

Hi Carly, getting (or even thinking about) pregnancy is so exciting. From personal experience I can tell you that you should be relaxed when you're trying to conceive. Once that's in place the best time to conceive is approximately 2 weeks after the initial of your period (if you're regular and in a 28-day cycle). This actually when you're ovulating. Speaking of ovulating, there's ovulation calculators online that can also be used as a tool to conceive.
I never charted my temperature or bought an ovulation kit... I used the calculator online and in the first try I got pregnant.
Here's it is.

oops nearly forgot, you should chart your temp. take your temp as early as possible in the morning, the same time every day. you should take it before doing anything, when you are still in your bed. when you notice a spike in your temp, you know you have ovulated. i had a slight drop in my temp on the day of ovulation. i was ttc for 2 years before i conceived my 4th child. (due to scar tissue) if you need any more advice (or anyone else) you can message me. good luck!

hi there. first of all congrats on deciding on trying for a new baby! it can be a stressful road ahead of being ttc though.
the first advice i can give you is to have a diary on how long your cycles are, when you usually ovulate (about 2 weeks before af is due). etc. you know when you are ovulating by doing a few examinations. you can buy ovulation tests too, but you don't neccessary have too. the best indicator for me was my cm became like egg white, it get very slippery when you are fertile, and i also got ovulation pain, usually on the right hand side on my abdomen (lower). if you would like a girl, you should have intercourse about 2 to 3 days before ovulation, this is because femaly sperm is slower, but it survives longer than male sperm. if you want a boy, you should have intercourse as close as possible before ovulation. this is because male sperm swims faster than female sperm, but doesn't survive as long af female sperm. that is about as much advice i can give you. good luck! baby dust comming your way +++++++++

For both my pregnancy I went off the pill and had sex everyday then after 2 weeks we did it 2-3 times a day (most women ovulate about 14 days after the START of their last period) and We got pregnant right away. 2 weeks after going off the pill.

We're also try. I was told to have sex every few days works well. That way there is always sperm where it needs to be. Relax, that the most important. Over trying isn't going to get us anywhere. Good Luck ladies!

Megan is right. If you get a basal thermometer and take your temp every morning BEFORE getting out of bed it should be about the same every morning and will go up a little higher when you are ovulating.

There are tons of sites that tell u positions and so forth...my hubby and i tried for almost a year with no luck everyone told me just to stop tryin and it would happen but i didnt want to listen. Eventually i got discouraged and we quit trying...the next month i was late! Now im 12weeks 4 days! and sooo happy :)

The best way is to "not" try lol....you seem to be more relaxed and not stressed when you dont try. I got pregnant with all 3 of my kids, and we never tried 1 time. The time we did try, it didnt work. Good luck and God bless!

You could try using those ovulation tests that could help you know when is the best time to try. Also i heard that if you track your temperatture you when your temperature higher you are more like ly to conceive have you tried looking on webmd? or parenting.com im sure there are articles there that could give you more information
