The wipe warmer was lame, it didn't work at all. I gave it away. And newborn shoes...my son grew out of those by like four weeks.
I loved my Boppy, and the Bumbo was great until we had a real high chair.
The baby tub I have is awesome. It's just a mini tub that had a board for him to lay on when he couldn't sit up. It's pretty big, but we use it because it takes less water but he can still splash and play in it. I thought the bath seats looked dumb.
I don't really have anything else that was lame since my son loved his swing and bouncer, guess I lucked out! We will see if the next one loves everything too!

Diaper genie sucks! lol, hated the stupid thing. Also the wipes warmer, (my husband's idea) was just pointless, no matter what I did the wipes always dried out. My SIL gave me a baby tub that has a tank/sling that you fill with water and then it has a pump handle for a little showerhead... The only way to use the stupid thing with a baby in it is if you have 3 arms, 1 to hold the baby, cuz the tank/sling is so flat they just slide right off of it, 2 to pump the handle for the showerhead, and 3 to hold the showerhead over the baby. I hated it until I took the tank part out and just used the sling I had already inside the tub part. My daughter is such a little swimmer that she will kick herself down until she is in the water fully anyway so the sling just keeps her face out of the water. And if I need a showerhead I just use the regular one turned to a lower setting. Thank goodness I didn't actually have to pay for it.

For me it was the baby swing with my youngest. I did not want a used one so we bought a brand new one just for her and she NEVER used it!!! Every time we would put her in it she would scream her head off!

I would have to say for my husband & I, it was the diaper genie. It didn't help with the smell at all. We used it with my 1st son but not my 2nd. It seemed we were constantly buying the bags to go in it because it didn't hold that many diapers! Total waste of money!

The boppy?? Really? I used it all the time! I didn't use it for nursing, but my daughter slept on it all the time. I never got a swing, but I was comvinced I wouldn't survive without one. But here I am, my daughter will be 1 in less than a month and I'm still here. Although, I'm sure with another child, I might need a swing more than with my daughter, she was pretty easy going.

Wipe warmers??? Really?? Haha...

Believe it or not.... the CRIB. We spent $400 on a beautiful crib for my daughter but she hasn't slept one night in it. She is 8 months old now and she sleeps in the pack-n-play beside my bed.

I also hated the bumbo. My daughter figured how to get out of it by the time she was 5 months.

Bouncy seat was another waste. My daughter had out grown it by 3 months.

I would say my boppy, b/c I needed a longer one to fit around me. Therefore, I just used regular pillows.

My husband and I are the pragmatic sorts, so we justified not buying much of anything by "I'm sure they haven't had that in the past few million years of raising babies" and decided not to purchase much of anything... instead we waited for the baby to arrive. This didn't save us all of the pains, but it did some of them. Most of what was useless were gifts. Here's our list of useless... then counter to it, things we loved:

Useless
1) Baby bath - I actually asked for this and got the nicest one available as a gift... and never used it. Awkward to fill/empty, little girl hated being only partly wet (eg, half cold), and it was hard to find a good surface near a water source, except in the bathtub, and this meant leaning over. Kitchen sink was the preferred alternative.

2) Socks - my dear mom bought our daughter the best - and she refused to let them stay on her feet. Around a year and a half, that changed though.

3) Bassinet - we bought this one as part of our pram and used it... once? I was always very worried because there were no straps in it, so the baby could slide around. The main pram part worked from birth up, so the bassinet turned out to be conceit on our parts.

4) Bottle sterilizer - breastfed my daughter for two years, and I have to admit to being a bad parent - on the rare occasions my daughter did get a bottle, we didn't sterilize. Too time consuming.

5) Baby clothes - she grew out of them so fast, and we got plenty in gifts. Now when I buy her clothes, I rarely buy first-hand. Grandmas both keep her in clothing, saving our pocket book... admittedly, sometimes she's dressed a bit strange. Grandma Hoefling has a fondness for sailor suits and Grandma Turner anything that looks like a birthday cake...

Surprise Treasures:
1) Muslin wraps - who even knew what they were for? But if you want to wrap a baby, high quality muslin is THE WAY to go.

2) Dream Genie - a pregnancy pillow that later becomes a breastfeeding pillow. It was recommended by a coworker when I told her my hips were killing me at night. It easily lasted my baby and I from around 5 months before birth to 10 months after.

3) Electric breast pump - I invested $500 into a top of the line deal - and it let me be a working mom, helped me have more freedom from home, and (other than occasionally making me feel like a moo cow) paid for itself multiple times over in utility. I only wonder if it's still in good enough condition to last my newest pregnancy. Note: it came with a non-electric pump, and that made me cringe. Never again!

Our travel bottle warmer blew the radio fuse! Needless to say I would never recommend this to anyone! Too scarry! We never used our bouncy seat. Not even once. My daughter loved her swing and that's all she wanted to be in.... ever.

My daughter HATED being swaddled, so the little swaddle sleeper, the thin bath towels, the sling and the backpack. =/ I wish I had had a bumbo...but who knows if she would have liked it? I LOVED the boppy, used it all the time and she would sleep in it at night or during naps. But she's kinda outgrown it now even though she's still nursing (11 months), but weaning starts next month! Yay! =D (Not to say I didn't enjoy it, best thing I ever did for her.)

i wasted about £700 on things for her 2 sleep in and not 2 mention all the different bedding i had 2 buy so prob i wasted about £800!!

The sling I couldn't live without. I was actually convinced that with the sling i'd never need a real stroller. Huge regret. It's awful bringing my 6 month old everywhere without a stroller and the sling was recalled. I should have known because she never fit in it correctly anyway.

The Ergo Baby Carrier!! It was/is TOP OF THE LINE...SO many people SWEAR by it!! They all said how WONDERFUL it was for newborn to age 3, 4,5...pretty much as long as you wanted to carry your kid in a backpack type thing, you could! I got it as a shower gift, but I was WAY too busty to use it!! My breast would smush my newborn everytime I used it! She HATED that thing! I sold it online and bought a Baby Bjorn carrier...she loved it! She is 3 now, and we still use it with baby number 2! The baby bjorn is probably one of my favorite baby items that I didn;t think I needed, but ABSOLUTELY did!!

I'd have to say the sling that I got my daughter wasn't that great! I put her in it and she looks so uncomfortable! I only used her baby bath tub in the very early months when she couldn't hold her head up, but after that it was just taking up space in her closet. And I didn't really use the 20 receiving blankets that I had for her lol

My bassinet. It was a beautiful gift from my inlaws but my daughter never slept well in it. She ended up going into her crib fairly early. I keeping it in case my next baby likes it and with 4 sisters-in-law it won't go to waste!

the change table only used it for one week..after that i changed my baby on the crib or bed. i didnt liked the sling i first bought so i bought another one called ring sling online until now my baby loves to be there.he even sleeps while holding him in cradle and kangaroo position. some toys i bought during my pregnancy that he is not using from birth til now.i should have stock diapers than buying toys..new born clothes he just used them for 2 or 3 days..i think its better to buy bigger size like now my baby is 6 mos old whenever i buy clothes for him i chose 9-12 months or more..the bigger the better and he can use it for longer period of months.

I made my own boppy in a prenatal class, never used it. Travel bottle warmer (the kind you plug in the cigarette lighter in the car), swaddle blankets (my son hated being swaddled), nursing blanket cape thing (it was too much of a hassle putting it on when your baby is crying for milk), diaper genie (its easier to put in a bag and through out the bag regularly), baby bath tub (too much of a hassle to fill then empty for a couple minute bath)

i didnt like the bumbo either my son wouldnt sit in it for more that 2 min unless we were feeding him and then the one time that he sat in it for about 10 min he dropped the toy he had and was reaching for it and tipped the thing over luckily he was on the floor and i was close enough that i caught him at the last sec. i also didnt like the baby tub my son would swim from one end of the regular bath tub to the other and he also grew out of the tub we had at about 2 months old, and the third thing that i didnt like was the bath ring because it didnt stick in the tub it floated till i put him in it then it tipped over because i didnt realize at the time that my tub was textured instead of smooth.
he loved his jolly jumper and his walker also the hospital blankets that somehow made there way home with us (i was really out of it leaving the hospital and my husband packed to leave) they work great for when he wont sleep cause i can still swaddle him in it at almost 9 months and 20 lb. love the teddy bears he has to hold one to go to sleep so its nice to have some extra ones. pack and play is great for nap time at grammy and grampies house and when we went camping when he was one month old.

The bumbo and boppy have been awesome! After my c-section having the boppy to put her on to hold her was amazing and she LOVED using it. She loves her bumbo as well. We were given a wipes warmer and didn't use it very much b/c it dried them out. She wore newborn clothes for awhile so we were lucky with that, and she loves her baby bathtub. The one thing that we never got to use was the cradle that was for our room, she NEVER liked it, and ended up going into her room at 3 weeks and loved that. We have a travel pack n play and she will sleep in that as well but still perfers the crib at night. The swing we prob. could of done without as well b/c she uses it sometimes but isn't in love iwth it. Also we got this cute little activity play mat that was pink and girly and she never liked it, we got her a smaller one with more bright colors and she liked that and when she outgrew it got her the fisher price jungle one and she absolutely loves that.

I put him in it at 4 months old.
