Take advantage of the public forums/activities your town/city has to offer. f.e. children story times at your local library if availabe. Definitely playgroups (even sit in a little older group, great way for child to understand differences), or even mother groups (great support for you and child)

Go to the mall and let him people watch with you. It's fun because there's allways interesting looking people in malls and some of them might even stop to talk to him. Find a coupon for the portrait studio and you could get a free picture while you're there too. Taking pictures is a really fun activity. I like reinacting the cheesy pictures in adds or even the ones that come with the picture frames. No matter what you do he will have fun just spending time with you. Sprinklers are fun or you can turn the water on low and hand him the hose.

We just put up a fisher price outdoor swing and my 6 month old really likes it. Some other things to do are show the themselves in the mirror then turn away then say wheres baby?! pop back and say there he is! do round and round the garden, swing them around, sing and bounce them to the beat, go for walks, lets them feel and chew different textures, put them on their tummy and get down on their level and encourage them to roll or crawl, bring them outside and let them watch the washing and trees moving in the breeze...lots of raspberrys and kisses and reading simple books. I cant wait to show my little guy bubbles..i didn't think of that, thanks Aimee!

Try your local library. They have fun free classes for babies and toddlers. And if they don't get her a book for the week! Also bubbles...babies love bubbles and everyone has soap and water. Have Fun!

even just simple things like lying them on a towel outside under the trees while you hang out the washing, getting out your tupperware and wooden spoons. make up little songs and doing actions with them. even taking out with yo when you go to coffee is something new and interesting. we have just started swimming lessons and he also loves walks in the park.

I go for walks, go to museums and take her to the pools! I have also started taking her to playgroup and free music classes. The jolly jumper is also a big hit for my little one!
