What could be causing his runny nose?

My son has had a problem with allergies pretty much from day one. He will only go 3 or 4 months out of the year without having a runny nose. He turned two this past feb so the doc finally did an allergy panel on him. (We tried before and he fought so hard they were scared they were going to damage the vein if the pushed it.) So the results came in today and guess what....he is not allergic to anything! Like, not even pollen. .......So why does he have a runny nose pretty much year round and on top of that, why has my son been taking both zyrtec and benedrly on a daily basis for about a year now? Any ideas?

I wanna know what allergy test requires a vein. My sons have had allergy testing and the doctors all use a series of needle pricks on the back, usually between the shoulderblades. Sometimes even two is too young for results to show up,so I would have him tested again. If nothi.g shows up again, then its probably something a ENT could help, like adnoids or whatnot. Good luck!

Maybe a second opinion? It might be one of those medical mysteries!! like a rare runny nose syndrome! That is so not helpful! But if it were me I would get a second opinion!!
