When my son was little he called me Mommy and my mom Ma. He's nine now and calls his grandparents Papa and Grandma. My nieces call my dad Grandpa. His other grandma was Nanny but we haven't heard from her in almost 4 years.

my mom is called the good ol' grandma, my husbands mom is nana. his dad is grand dad and my dad in grand-vader (pronounced Fada) it's a combination of english and german. it's what i called my dad's dad so i thought it good to pass it on. but what ever she chooses to call her grand parents is up to her.

We're gonna let the baby choose when it gets here. But my mom wants to be Yaya SO bad.
Also, I used to be a nanny for a little boy and his younger sister. They called their Mom's mom Lolli for Lolli-pop because she said she was such a sucker for children.

Well, my oldest call my mom Mamma, always has since she could talk. And she calls my dad Daddy bc her father isn't around. She knows they're her grandparent but that's what she calls them, lol. She calls my bf parents grandma and grandpa. My youngest calls my mom Nanna or Nina somtimes and my dad Papa and calls my bf parents Grandma and Papa. It's funny how they just come up with things to call people out of nowhere =)

My mom has many names, each of her grand children call her something different! It started off has my son [first grand child] calling her Big Ma bc she didnt want to be called grandma, I had my son young and she was too young to be a "grandma". When my niece was able to talk she called my mom Mima [mee-mah] bc she couldnt say her b's. Now, my nephew is starting to talk and he calls her Mina [mee-nah] LoL That one is the funniest bc her nickname is Nina... LoL My mother-in-law is Grannma, My dad is simply grandpa and my father-in-law was Poppa.

My son is lucky to have heaps of Grandparents to call diffrrent names. My Mother = Grandma, my father = grandpa, my grandma = GG, my nana = Nana Helen, my pop = Poppy Ray, my husband pop= Poppy Frank, my husbands nan = Nappy Betty.
But my cousin used to call his other grandfather = Dunga, because he couldn't say grandpa, and when our grandfather was alive we called him Papa.

My Mum & Dad are Nanny & Poppa to Oliver, they look to young to be Grandma and Grandad just didnt seem to suit, so we chose the names above!!! If you google grandparent names there is a site that gives you worldwide variations of names for grandparents and some are really sweet. Thats where we got Poppa from I think its Italian x hope this helps xxx Victoria

My 3 year old son calls my parents by these names: my mom is nanny, my step mom is grandma, my mother in law is granny, and both my dad and step dad are papa. I love the fact the my son has different names for all of my mothers or I would never know which one he was talking about!!
