i asked my gyno this same question when i couldn't tell he said "if you feel it on the left side it may be the baby but there is the possibility that its just gas, but if you feel it on the right side it is definatly the baby." it was so great when i felt movement and i knew it was her

it feels like gas ..sry but its true and well once they get bigger and start turning it feels like ur stomach is doing flip flops ..kinda that same sensation u get in elevators roller coasters ..true this feeling the first time is super amazing but as time wears on u will wish it to stop ... my children were both super active in the womb causing me to get very lettle sleep so enjoy it while u still have the patience to do so

It started out feeling like gas, and i had no idea that it was the baby. I thought i was just really gassy. as she got bigger i could really feel her. She spent most of her time in my ribs. i remember she kicked me in the ribs so hard one time it actually made my boob move hahah. I miss the feeling, but i dont miss that pain when they kick the ribs, or turn around completly. although it was really neat to watch. Avery used to get hiccups when she was in the womb, and i could feel them. lol it was so cute :)
Did anyone else hear popping from inside??.

it feels like little butterflies fluttering around inside you. You know the feeling you get when you got your first kiss from that someone who really meant something..kinda like that..only in baby zone! its amazing!

I always compared it to when you have gas. That's what it felt like for me anyway. Just wait til the kid gets hiccups, that's the most uncomfortable and weird thing in the whole wide world. My husband thought I was making it up that our daughter had hiccups at the same time everyday (usually when I had just eaten lunch) and then when we went in to have her she got hiccups while I was on the fetal monitor. PROOF! LOL. Anyway, goodluck to you and your new baby!

Kind of like a popping feeling on the inside, or a bit like a muscle spasm for the early movements. It is tough to describe, but eventually you'll be able to tell when it is happening - at first it is tough to discern from things like gas bubbles. I think I was about 22 weeks along before I actually felt movement.

My baby felt like when you take your pulse but on the inside. It was like a little thump thump inside your tummy. Everybody feels it different. I almost thought it was gas at first, but it turned out that was just when he moved. Mostly because the gas rolling around made noise that made my baby curious or startled him.

It kinda felt like a little bug crwling across my stomach it always made me itch. But as she got bigger, it's like no other feeling you'll know it when you feel it.I felt my daughter at 14 weeks and everyone said it was to early, but you'll know.

1) Like I swallowed a live goldfish and now its fluttering around in there...

2) Do you know right before a bout of bad gas those bubble you feel moving around in your intestines? That...

Everyone says it feels like a butterfly's wings, or like popcorn but until you have a butterfly in your stomach flapping around thats hard to imagine.. at least it was for me. But you can literally feel a thump inside, or it feels like moving liquids. Like when you're at the pool and you make a wave, someone else can feel the wave. It's like that. :) It will happen soon!

The first time i felt bubs move and knew it was bubs was when i was putting petrol in my car. I thought that my stomach had rubbed against something but when i looked down, nothing was there. The first feelings for me felt like there was a bug or something crawling on my stomach. Lol.

My son moved for the first time on my birthday (a couple years ago). I was three months along, and I was almost asleep. I thought I was going to have a HUGE fart, but then no fart came. It actually scared me! It felt kind of like a butterfly/fart combo... that's the only way I can describe it. Congratulations on feeling the baby! Never doubt yourself.

i found that it felt like a tickle deep in the tummy... but they say the first time you feel baby, you're halfwy through. which was true for me at least. empty stomach rumble off place, bubbles... its one of those feelings thats hard to describe, but you still know what it is

In the early weeks it felt kind of like gas, but like it was coming from the inside and aimed at your skin. I wasn't sure either that it was the baby moving, but as the movements got stronger over the next few weeks i was sure. You'll come to miss the days of gentle pokes when bubby has his or her feet wedged up under your ribs!

In the beginning I would feel something that felt like butterfly wings flapping on the inside of my belly. The further I got, it felt more like something moving around inside.

i think it feels different for different people .. for me it felt like when you hold a fish in your hand and it's squirmy and wiggly but only for a sec and it was only when i laid on my side for the first couple of months after i felt her and now it's just hard kicks lol .. the first wiggle is always the most exciting! :)

it feels like gas usually. i actually started feeling him move at night at around 14 wks without realizing that i was feeling it. all of a sudden, i started getting these intense dreams where i was running somewhere or fighting with people. turns out that because i'm a heavy sleeper, my body was interpreting baby's moves in the dream. doctor said it was perfectly normal. it went away by like 5 months once i really started to feel the baby kicking & moving. congratulations on your baby!

I first felt my son moving aroun 16 wks. It felt like...food digesting. Lol. I felt it a few times & thought it was just my food digesting, & one day it hit me that it was the baby moving & I just knew that's what it was! Just wait 'till they get stronger & harder! There's no other feeling in the world like it!

It feels like a fish flopping around inside - you'll swear it's gas bubbles, but sooner or later you'll realize it was your little one.

The very first movements if your lucky enough to feel them and realize what they are, feel like butterflies fluttering their wings around in your tummy. After that they begin to get stronger and harder as time goes by. Really there isnt a good way to explain them, its an amazing feeling! Trust me, once your little one gets going, you'll now! Congrats!

it's so hard to explain, basically it just feels like someone poking you from the inside. Chances are if you don't know what else it could have been, it was the baby, YAY!!!

I was adamant I felt my first baby from as young as 14 weeks and subsequent ones at 11 plus weeks. Medical professionals always told me that it was too early to feel the baby but the feeling just got stronger as time wore on so I can't see how I was imagining things... If you think you feel the baby you most likely are. It feels like butterfly wings in your tummy to start with or bubbles popping....tiny tickles...it's wonderful.
