Hiiii frnds...give some good suggestion to me.. My baby is 7 month old baby...she is now 7.5kg but when seeing baby she is lean...so all are saying y ur baby is very lean like...so give some good tips...what type of food can i give for my baby to become fat....

My first was always skinny. Shes tall and lanky. If i were to change her diet to make her fat i would only be making her unhealthy. Kids come in all shapes and sizes. As long as your baby is growing and thriving then he doesn't need to eat more to bulk up. However, if your concerned about his weight i would take him to see a dr to make sure hes a healthy size for his age.

Oh and for older children who have diahrea ice lollies are a great way to hydrate them (freeze your own so they are super healthy).

If he's getting diahrea when teething so bad that it is making him lose weight I'd speak to a doctor.

Do NOT stop breast feeding because of diahrea, breast milk is the best thing for it, because although the diahrea is connected to teething, it's not the cause of it. Babies get lots of infections and illnesses when they are teething because their body is run down, often their sleep is interrupted, their feeding is interrupted, and they are in pain, but all this leaves them vulnerable to bugs, especially tummy upsets as with teething they instinctively put things in their mouths to gum (or chew) as it helps ease the discomfort. If it is a virus your breast milk will provide specific antibodies to that virus (your baby exposes you to the virus, meaning you'll make antibodies and pass them to him), incredible thing the human body....and ignore people who say you shouldn't eat dairy when I'll with a sickness bug, yes it's true don't give him cows milk but human breast milk is the ideal food for human babies (and it helps like I said above).

Help to reduce the risk of him getting bouts of diahrea by ensuring his hands are clean and ensure any tethers or things he chews are clean. By clean I mean rinsed regularly in warm soapy water, they don't need to be sterile. Also wash all the bedding on the hottest wash you can to make sure all traces of the bug are gone :-)


A couple of Great things to chew on for teething babies are slices of apple (if he's over six months old) and clean damp wash cloths. They get the benefit of the coolness, it helps soothe enflamed gums.

Thank you Dove but help me guys is there anything best for teething my baby always get this heavy diarhea when his teeth are comming out and it cost him his weight. It's really hard to handle i use powder but seems to be slow.

Thank you Toni, I think you are right because he is an active baby healthy healthy and all, is just that when i see fat babies i sometimes feel like maybe i am not feeding properly and he refused formula from birth i tried all type but he didn accept any i guess that's how he suppose to be then.

Is your baby healthy? Is he having regular wet and dirty nappies? Is he gaining weight (not necessarily huge amounts but steadily)? Is he happy and content? Is his height and weight proportional?

If you answered yes to all those questions your baby doesn't need to gain weight, remember breast fed babies tend to be smaller than formula fed babies because breast milk is better for babies and is natural. If you answered no to any of them it may be advisable to consult a doctor to see if there is an issue.

Why do you want your son to be fat? being fat is not healthy for anyone, I'm sure you know the health implications for being overweight (But just in case...http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Obesity/Pag...).

Being obese in childhood can also not only have long lasting health implications, it can lead to them being taunted and bullied, causing low self esteem, self hate, which in turn causes problems in all aspects of their life (relationships, education etc).
