anywhere with animals is great, like the zoo.

Tessa loves going on walks in the stroller or baby carrier (we have an Ergo) and pointing to the trees.

We play peek-a-boo/hide-and-seek (I crouch down behind the corner of a wall or coffee table where she can see just a bit of me and then she peeks around the corner to find me, she gets soo excited!),

read books (she really loves the toch-and-feel ones and ones with pictures of dogs and cats),

go to the pool or water country (she loves water)...

I give her a couple different sized pans with lids and a big spoon

or a 9x13 pan with about an inch of water in it, a small washcloth and a few cups/spoons so she can pretend to do dishes on the kitchen floor while i cook or do dishes myself

going outside to explore. we tough the trees and leaves, pick up sticks and rocks, walk on the grass and pavement with bare feet, smell the flowers, etc. this morning in our backyard I gave her a bucket and a pile of rocks, she had fun putting them into the bucket one by one.

she likes sand play, for her birthday I'm going to fill a big rubbermade with sand.

Some good books with fun things to do with a one year old are: Peekaboo And Other Games To Play With Your Baby: http://www.amazon.com/Peekaboo-Other-Gam... ; First Art: http://www.amazon.com/First-Art-Experien... ; and the best, Unplugged Play (it has ideas for kids from 12 months to 10 years!!!) : http://www.amazon.com/Unplugged-Play-Bat...

My one year old granddaughter loves when I sing to her. We have a book of nursery rhymes and a book of mother goose. I make up the melody as I go along. She also likes a game I made up. I sing, "I see a (tree, chair, bird, plant, flower, car, etc.) Do you see a (tree, chair, bird, plant, flower, car, etc.)? I see a (tree, chair, bird, plant, flower, car, etc.) outside? She loves to point to the object and we clap together. If I stop, she looks at me and tries to sing too.

Pillows fights are fun. (not too rough though) wrestling. Shrieking at each other. We're a odd duo.

My little girl loves taking walks. I always take her for a walk when the weather is nice. She also likes water so I let her play in her little pool when it is really warm out. I read to her she also loves books. I am starting to let her color but I have to watch her close she sticks the crayons in her mouth. lol. She loves to dance to music. OH and she loves her snack time and feeding herself different finger foods.

There are lots of fun things to do with a one year old. Just taking them outside can be an adventure. I used to take my daughters outside and show them the trees, grass, bugs (the not so scary looking ones), birds, you name it. Also my girls loved to dance. I would put some music on and they would grab onto something to hold and dance. I would dance with them.

There are a lot of fun things to do with a one year old. My dd loves to be chased. While chanting "I'ma gonna, get you, you better run! I'ma gonna get you, here I come!" I'll walk funny or hop like a frog as she crawls away from me laughing the whole time until I catch her and tickle her.

She also enjoys a sort of hide and seek, where I "run" from her and hide behind a door, or piece of furniture until she comes and finds me. She's gotten the hang of looking behind the door- for the longest time I had to jump out and surprise her.

Where do we go? Everywhere I take her big brother and sister. Today, we'll be hitting the wading pool at our local park. She gets out far more often than her big brother did when he was a single child.

My son loves it when i read to him and brings me books a hundred times a day :) He also loves passing toys to me and i have to gather them all in my arms and then drop them all at once around him. he giggles so much! We also play chasey. My son is still crawling so i crawl around with him and hide behind the furniture (he always finds me!) We also love to throw balls to and fro to each other. And dancing is an all time favorite! I carry my son and jump around like a crazy person to loud music. He finds this hilarious! There are so many fun things to do with one year old now that they can interact so much more!

I think my daughter was supposed to be a fish...she LOVES water, so we go to the nearby lake AT LEAST once a week! We also frequent the park, the zoo and take lots of walks. We read lots of books, color, and she's getting very imaginative, so I eat the pretend food she makes me and talk on the phone with her. I love playing with my daughter!

We chase eachother around it has gotten to be so much fun because my kitchen is a giant circle around a fireplace, so I would run in one direction and she would try to catch me and I would sneek up behind her and catch her but just recently she has gotten smart to this and she would start to chase me but then wait in the middle of the kitchen and wait to see which way I was coming from. She also likes the aquarium the bright colors of the water and the different fish she goes crazy.

We chase each other round too! It makes us both giggle. :)
We love to read books, especially Very Hungry Caterpillar. We listen to music and dance, and sometimes sing. He finds lunch time quite fun, trying new foods and flavours. :D
