there actually really isnt a way to get rid of them besides laser surgery, there are several ways to hide them such as lotions and tanning but once you stopp doing allof that they reappear. i say to hell with stretch marks...they are a representation of motherhood.....my fiance says he thinks my stretch marks makes me more beatiful, shows that i am a strong women because i gave birth to a child(3children to be exact)and who's stronger than someone who can go nine months with another life inside of them, then to go through hours of painful labor and then on to raise a child with or without a man and still make it....no one but a women....GO WOMEN!!!!!!LOL

actually theres no way to get rid of them but you can lighten them up. cocoa butter works well supposedly. i don't put stuff on mine, they just lightened up over time.

I got this idea from my mom...she said "dont ever rub your stomach using your finger nail even when you feel like you want to rub it till death because of the itchiness..but use the wet towel to rub it (using the hot water)..tq

I agree with the bio oil, i used it for a year after my first bub and it helped to lighten the red marks so i could hardly see them and the big stretchies also faded right down it's excellent stuff

Unfortunantly there is no way to completely get rid of them but you can use things to make them fade. Personally I use Bio Oil, been since I was about 6 months pregnant. I find it works pretty well(I actually don't have many, but the ones I do drive me so crazy). I have heard tanning helps and I have also heard about the mederma but have yet to try eigther.

I have tried loations and creams and nothing worked for me other then to go tanning in which case it dosn't get rid of them it just hides them... When I stopped going tannin they showed again.

ive heard that tanning is the worst thing you can do for stretch marks. they will get a sun burn like crazy. they are like a scar and you are supposed to keep scars out of the sun for about a year or they will turn darker/lighter. i have a scar on my leg that i went tanning with not very long after i got the injury and it looks all weird now. you cant do anything for stretch marks. unfortunately it just goes with having a baby. they do shrink and blend in more over time and as you lose the baby weight. my stretch marks used to be purplish and red and now they are just a little lighter than my skin.

I have stretch marks in places I didn't even know could stretch lol (behind my knees for one) But from what I have heard and read there is no way to get rid of them :( I still use coco butter and I used to own a tanning studio and the tanning would help to lighten them but even being African American the sun would help to lighten them a bit! Hope this helps!
