At my next appointment i have to have a vaginal culture and i have no clue what it is...please inform me on what a vaginal culture is and what to expect

A vaginal culture just tests for any infections. Feels just like a pap just a little more pressure....

A vaginal culture is used to check for overgrowth of yeast or other bacteria. It is just a swab that they do when they do a pap smear. This is my understanding of it anyway. If you have had lots of urinary tract infections, kidney infections or yeast infections they will do this to try and figure out why. Hope this helps!!!

A vaginal culture is like a pap. But they use a giant cotton swab and swab your cervix. They are just taking muscus sample. I had to have a few before.

are you expecting? they usually do it to test for strep b. its no big deal they just want to make sure everything is good to go and if something is up its usually very easy to fix
