with my little girl i found not using the potty was the best way to train her,she wasnt interested in it and it only upset her,so when she was almost 2 i started putting her on the toilet a couple of times a day and sometimes she had a wee and sometimes she didnt, she got the hang of it an a week.I just think kids want to wee where their mom goes x

Boys do tend to be a little tougher to potty train, the important thing is to not get discouraged when you have failed attempts. NEVER use harsh words concerning his potty training, it may frighten him away from the potty. Also, there are several things u can use to help in the process. Walmart has a potty seat that goes overtop of your own toilet, so tiny bums dont fall in. and my boys always liked to "sink the cereal" any cereal will work, just throw a couple in. Always cheer when he pees in the potty, even if he just tries!

Yes he does take his diaper off, and he is interested in the potty, he likes to watch it flush. I have also heard to start @ around 2yo. I guess all I can do is try!

well there is a few signs to look for. is he trying to take of his diaper? does his diaper stay dry for long periods of time? does he know how to tell you that he needs to go? does he show interest in the potty? my son is 16 months i researched it my self and i found out that boys usually potty train between 24-36 months but that's just statistics.
