All your moms were very helpful. I have him on somewhat of a routine with eat, play and nap but when it comes to the morning the time varies. Also for the moms who have a 4-6 month old, Im wondering home much solid foods you're feeding him along with how many ounces for a bottle. Now I breastfeed and I've noticed that he wont eat that much off me it seems like but when i give him a bottle he'll eat like 6-7oz why is that/

Hi Jessica....isn't it amazing and a little frusturating how the daily schedule can for the most part stay the same but vary so much all at the same time?...My son will be 8 months old this coming Sunday and he has been pretty predictable since he was about 5 months old...Henry has been sleeping through the night since he was 9 weeks old...I don't breastfeed so that made the bedtime and "sleep training" easy...when he was 9 weeks old I decided that I didn't want to feed him in the middle of the night anymore, so I stopped doing it and he was fine with it....his daily schedule goes like this....
8a.m. breakfast - 8 oz bottle, cereal and fruit
10:30a.m nap time
12 or 12:30pm lunch - 8oz bottle, meat, veggies and fruit
1:00p.m. walk outside (weather permitting)
2:30 or 3:00 nap time
4:30pm dinner - 5oz. bottle, veggies and fruit
6:00p.m. bath time (wednesdays and saturdays)
6:45p.m. 10oz. bedtime bottle
7:00p.m. bedtime

I don't really have a routine either! I just let my little girl tell me what she wants! And suprisingly its pretty dead on every day!!

i personally dont stay on time bases because when lunch isnt at 2-3 you get over whelmed. I just let my daughter tell me when she is ready to do what. But i keep consistant on the things we do.

My routine has always been the same just the timing is what changes. We wake up inthe AM when she is ready we have our banana flavored oatmeal and fruit. Than we wil watch tv untill she falls asleep for her first cat nap wich can last from 20 min to 2 hours. After she awakens she is ready to go and to play so we have tummy time or she will go in her jumper. After a hr or so of activities than we eat a bottle usually i let her tell me when. She might take like 2 cat naps of 30 min from than till dinner around 7 ish. Every other day or 2 i give her a little bit of veggies during lunch, by lunch time and our cat nap daddy is home to play and spend time with her. After spending few hrs with him she is 1 ready for a bottle or a feeding. By 7pm usually we will have our dinner which is fruit and veggies. I may have to make her food so she will watch tv while i cook and blend her food. After dinner she LOVES to spend time with her grammy where they laugh giggle and talk sometimes playing more on floor with toys aka tummy time. By 10pm lately she is in bed knocked out untill the next morning. My daughter does NOT wake up through the night at all. Hope it helps

I've always wondered how everyone's schedules were. Every baby is different and whatever works for you is good.

This is my son's schedule:

8am- wake up time & breakfast (cereal and 6oz bottle)

10:30- nap for about one hour

12pm- lunch time (veggies & fruit, 6oz bottle)

around 2pm- snack (cookie or fruit)

2:30pm- naptime for about a hour or so

4pm- supper (veggies, meat and fruits, 6oz bottle)

8pm-bedtime (8oz bottle)

At five months my first daughter had the following schedule for nursing and naptimes. My second daughter is only two weeks old, so I doubt hers would help you. :)

7am - wake up, nurse
8:30/9am - naptime
11am - wake up, nurse
1pm - naptime
3pm - wake up, nurse
5:30/6 - catnap, nurse when wakes up
7pm - bedtime.
10pm (ish) - dreamfeed (meaning I wake her up to nurse so my milk supply doesn't drop), right back to bed

Hope that helps! I love seeing other people's schedules to see what works for them. It helped me a lot as a new mom.

My 9 and a half month old:-

7:30 - wake up

9 - breakfast (weetabix/ready break and some fruit) then get dressed

Play time

12:30 - lunch time ( meat and veggies and yogurt for dessert)

Play time

3 - 6oz bottle and nap for 1.5hours

Play time

5:30 Dinner (pasta with veggies, or meat and veggies)

Play time/Bath time

8 - Bed time

If I need to go shopping, or to see friends i usually do this in the morning so my daughter can still have her nap in the afternoon. She would proberbly go to bed earlier but daddy doesn't get home till 630/7 so she stays up to spend some time with him

My routine with my 8 month old:
6:30 ish - wake up, change diaper, 6 oz bottle
Play time
9:00 - breakfast; 3.5 oz pack of fruit, 2 tbls. mixed cereal, 5 oz bottle, some cheerio/puffs
9:30 ish - nap (usually at least an hour)
Play Time
12:30 - 6 oz bottle
Play time
Nap around 1:30-2:30 depending on when he is tired
3:30 - 3 oz homemade veggie puree , 2 tbls. mixed cereal, 5 oz bottle, some cheerio/puffs
Play Time
6:00 Start Bath Routine
6:30 6 oz bottle/ bed time

I am laid off at the moment but go back to work at the end of April. My son will be going to his grandma's while I am working. If I have to go anywhere during the day I try to go right after a nap, that way he won't fall asleep in the car and refuse the nap at home.

hi jessica! my son is also five months and his schedule is pretty much the same each day and has been for three or four months now..he's up around 7am has cereal at 7 30, bottle at 8, down for a nap right after that. he usually naps for an hour and up again around 9. plays for a while then down for another hour at 10. he'll get up around 11, have veggies at 11 30 bottle at 12 then down at 12 30 - 3ish. has another bottle at 4 by 430 he's down for another hours nap then he's up for the rest of the evening - cereal at 7, bath, bottle at 8 and in bed for the night by 8 30. all babies are different though....mine likes to sleep alot but he doesn't like if his schedule is changed much. good luck finding something that works well for both of you!
