I understand that each individual's opinion varies from another and have seen a few comments here lately that are bordering on over-opinionated and a little rude, so to lighten the topic and ask a question completely lacking in controversy, what is your favourite thing about being a mother?

Mine? When my little girl throws her arms around my neck and tells me that she loves me, for no reason at all, because that's when I know I'm doing something right and that her love for me is as unconditional as mine is for her . . . although sometimes I have to keep my eye open for chocolate motivators peeping through her little fingers. ;D

When I have all three snuggling with me, and wanting to be with me. Also when I watch them play together and my 2 older ones striving really hard to make my 1 year old laugh. When they tell me they love me, and my 1 year old "runs" and laughs to me. When they automatically do the things I've been trying so hard to teach them, and I realize they have been learning. When both my 2 1/2 year old and my 1 year fell down at the same time, and my 2 1/2 year old immediately jumped up and ran over to my 1 year old to make sure he was okay. I could probably go on. But thanks for this comment, it was a good idea.

My favorite part about being a mommy is when my little girl and I are cuddling in bed or on the couch and she falls asleep on me. I love listening to her breathing and her soft little snore, and the way she says, "Mommy" in her sleep. And I love when she wakes up and smiles at me and giggles.

My son is at the age where he is picking up words like crazy. My favorite thing is teaching him things and watching him while he figures things out.

When I'm feeling sad about something, my little one year old (get this!) puts her hand on my back, gives me a pat, says something unintelligible in baby language, smiles, and gives me a hug.

Her smiles, kisses, hugs, and when she reaches up to have me hold her.

Oh there are so many wonderful things about being a Mother. My little angel's first time saying I LOVE YOU as I was saying goodbye to her on my way to work; when she wraps her arms around my neck and plops her head on my shoulder, pops up repeatedly for kisses, and then snuggles; when she falls asleep in my arms and wakes up in her crib with a HI MOMMY!; the tickle-giggles; the funny dancing and "singing" together; watching her play with her Daddy...it's just an amazing journey and I'm loving each and every moment of it. :) Thanks for the post and bringing a smile to my heart thinking of the joys of motherhood!

I LOVE EVERYTHING. I can sit & watch her playing for hours. She's only 9 months old and just seeing her experience & discover new things is amazing. Her little smiles & laughs & the giggles are to die for. And when she wakes up with a huge smile on her face is just the cutest. The little noises (her trying to talk) is also the best. She now also copies what you do and it just makes me laugh. I casn honestly say that I love everything single bit of being a Mom - and to such a cute little bundle is the best. If I could afford it (& the individual time) I would have loads of kids, but the 1st one is very special. My little precious pumkin pie - Mommy loves you so much :)

I love how when I nurse my three month old, she will wait until she is close to latching on, and dive in at the last second, faceplanting in the process. I love the noises she makes, her gorgeous eyes, and how when she is really smiling her eyes get all squinty and she throws her head back. I love how when I pay attention to anything else, she starts kicking and making noises, and when I look at her she just grins as if to say "Made ya look." I love that I can see my husband's face in her, but my smily eyes. I love her bald spots and her belly. I love baby snuggles and every milestone that she hits. Most of all, I love the pure enjoyment that I get out of where she is now, and the anticipation of find out who she will become.

I love almost everything!! Being a mum is the most amazing gift ever! I never knew i could love someone so much! For all the very difficult parts of motherhood they are forgotten so quickly with just one little smile or a cuddle!

So many things!
The smiles and giggles when I dance with him. I love it when he reaches out for hugs, cuddles close and falls asleep in my arms. I'm happy that he's so happy :-)

My son is 13 months and a lil terror , it looks like a tornado blows through the house everyday. but no matter how much he gets into I dont care I just love him with every ounce in me. He always comes and hugs me and gives kisses, hes not one for cuddles but sometimes hell come up climb on to the couch and sit beside me or lay his head down on my lap and says mamamamama over and over again. Watching him learn and grow is the most amazing experience I could have ever imagined possible, hes my absolute world

My son is a big cuddler! At nighttime he goes to sleep no problem and just before bed we have cereal, bottle, and get ready for bed while listening to a lullaby CD. Right before I put him down I just cuddle and cuddle with him and it's just wonderful. Then, I get at the very least a good solid 6 hours of sleep to wake up to him talking and smiles SO big when he notices I am awake. It's all just so wonderful.

Soooooo many things. There is no feeling quite like being a mummy.
I love the fact that my 1 year old, no matter how bad a day i am having at work or anything, as soon as i see her, she just beams her beautiful smile at me and everything is great again.

when my 4 year old says mommy I love you forever and ever. It is also great when my 19 month old does new things everyday. They also love laughing together. It is the best feeling in the world because I feel like we are doing the best we can, they just melt my heart.
