i did a winnie the pooh for my son's 1st birthday last sept with a couple of friends and family....this year im doing a handy manny theme this year as he loves watching it :). hope ur daughter enjoys her birthday

I had a few close friends. Nothing too big. I found the cute hat that had a "1" on it, bought an ice cream cake with a bg blue "1" and videoed everything He wasn't into anything at the time either. My husband said that the party was more for me than the baby, but I loved it. Now that he is 4, I let him pick what theme he wants.

Lana had a guest count of 50 and it was an emergency Chucky Cheese party since the pool party got rained out. Pink Princess, no theme really. This year I'm looking into a Diva themed party.

II think for my oldest we did Winnie the Pooh... it was the same as our baby shower theme... but for my second we did a Princess party... that was fun. So many directions you can go with that as well....

well we had done a clock/watch theme...i had made diff types of watch models like i made a cuckoo clock out of cardboard, put my babies foto in place of cuckoo n gave a brief description abt her...like how the cuckoo cooed her arrival..at wat time etc..same way we cut out a bowl n spoon shaped clock n i wrote the date n time wen she first took her first solid meal, her first footprints..etc...i gave wrist watches to all children as a take away bday gift!! all had appreciated it n children loved the gift!

my baby girls first bday was a butterfly theme cause i like butterflies and she really didnt know wat she liked at the time. shell be two soon and she likes mickey mouse tinkerbell and perry the platypus. so it really depends on wat she likes if not wat u like. butterflies were easy an not that expensive. as for a cake u can get either a butterfly cake or cupcakes with the butterfly design. its simple cute and everyone will love it.

Well, I don't have a daughter, and we didn't do a theme per se, for his first birthday. We celebrated at my parents' house in MI (we live in AZ) and my mom found some cute party supplies that had a baby holding a "1" balloon with cake all over its face. We DID do a theme for his 2nd birthday, which was Go Diego Go. For his 3rd, we did Wow! Wow! Wubbzy (his favorite show at that time). His 4th was again celebrated in MI and it was just family so there was no defined theme. If we have one this year, I'm thinking Phineas and Ferb (it's his favorite show). My suggestion would be to consider your daughter's favorite things. Do you let her watch TV or does she have any favorite characters (Curious George is one that kids don't have to watch TV to know)? If so, most of those have cups, plates, etc. Another suggestion: don't go overboard or stress too much about it: she's only going to be a year old and likely won't remember it anyway (sorry.)

My son colbys first birthday is next weekend, first thing he really showed interest in is what theme we are doing... on a walk to the park a few months back he wouldent face forward in his wagon he couldent take his eyes off the back hoe digging a hole for a new house he watched it for 5 min (which is amazing for a child so young) thats how i picked.

We did a Tinkerbell party for my daughters 1st birthday. She had her own small birthday cake (more like a large cupcake really).We had a pinata and grilled hamburgers and hotdogs. It was only close friends and family, but we had a good day. :)

I didn't really do a theme besides the big pink 1, but her cake was super cute. It was a Barbie doll and the cake was the skirt of her dress and they did icing as the top. I got it at Albertsons I believe.

My oldest daughter we did a cupcake theme and my youngest we did a look whoo's turning one theme with owls! Dont stress though, whatever you do she will love!

Lady bug! I did that for my daughters 2nd birthday party. I made lady bug cupcakes, we had pin the spot on the lady bug, pinata and the party favor was live lady bugs and we have a little poem attached that talked about releasing them into your garden at home. Was a HUGE hit!

My Baby's 1st year theme were LadyBugs :) We had face painting and she let them do a ladybug on her arm & had bubbles too... even for her 2nd bday we did ladybugs but a little different.... and she then loved bubbles even more so we got a bubble machine @ walmart for like $10-15 it was perfect.

Hi there! When my daughter turned 1 we did a balloon themed party. It seemed simple, colorful and FUN! I know balloon pieces can be dangerous if the balloon pops, but I am always watching my kid, soooo. I had water balloons (tangibility is always good for tots). I also had latex balloons I attached to balloon strips. Then I ordered some HUGE 5' balloons that I took to Kroger and had them fill up. With balloon plates and a balloon cake, the party went of without a hitch!

My girls favorite animal was a Panda when she turned one. I did Panda Cupcakes! She will be two at the end of June, and this time - She is into Wizard Of Oz! I went on Ebay, spent under $20! Got a personalized cake topper, balloons, and a personalized t-shirt - saying she is TWO!!

I had close family and friends at her party. So it was small but there were about 5 kids there. It was Minnie mouse theme. I got all my stuff at Party City.I also bought there plain pink table cloths, forks, napkins and cups to save money. Just bought the Minnie plates. I got a Minnie cake from Frys for all the guests. But my daughter is allergic to wheat, dairy and egg so I got her a vegan cake from Wholefoods. She loved it. She also wore a Minnie costume that my Grandma had bought her. I served hot dogs(cut up to small sizes), baked beans and fruit. I didn't have games or anything just let the kids all play with toys. I also played Disney music during the party. I gave out little favors such as (that I got for a $1) a sand bucket with shovel, board book, Minnie ears and some other little stuff for the older kids. This year her party will be Curious George and lots of water activities.

We did a luau theme for her party... we have a big family, so it was a family party (and some family friends). We had leis for everyone, hawaiian decorations and hawaiian food, limbo and hula games etc...

I dont have any girls but i would say either a my little pony party, tea party, or a fairy party. I did a Safari birthday party for my 1 year old but u could always change it to a fairy safari instead. Like put picturesof all Tinkerbells friends up on the wall and have Pixie Hollow all over the walls. Hope it helps

For her actual birthday, we went to the zoo and had a simple snack for our immediate family and my sister and niece. For the family party, Noémie shared the day with her cousin that was turning three so we had a purple and silver princess party in the park. We had barbecued sliders, salad, fruit smiles and a homemade frozen yogurt cake with Belle and Ariel on top.

hi thr...u can have a carnival party..thaz what i did for my daughter in india....we had decorated the whole place with pink , red baloons..n white too...there were candy stalls...games stalls toy trains...special stage decorated with ribbons n baloons..like princes ..the cake also in shape of princes as it was a carnival party n the host was a princess, the"bday girl".it was fun

I used my daughters favorite toy as the theme. She had a padded pink rocking horse that had many colors of tinsle in its hair and played music and she LOVED IT (which was great because I picked it up for $5 at a garage sale). I found a private cake baker/maker and told her I wanted a cake shaped like a rocking horse and that i wanted it to be pink with a white mane w/ streaks of color! It turned out perfect and set the theme for the entire party!

My daughter is named after Alice Cullen from the Twilight series so for her first birthday a theme of pastel pink and black was fitting. Her cake had Pink and Black roses on it...it was beautiful. I hope that she will allow me to do the same color scheme for her Sweet 16 *crosses fingers* because I would love to do it again :)

we did baby Minnie mouse. My. daughter loves Minnie. All the coordinatig pieces aren't available so we used pink and white polka dots and it was perfect! We did a pink and white polka dot cake with Minnie ears and a bow on.top as the cake! It was amazing!

i would do a easy one as they get older they will want a more expensive one trust me i have 5 turning 6 this sunday and a 3 yr old girls and 7 turning 8 and 4 turning 5 boys and the 5 yr old girl wants a party for all her class mates 20 or so plus family so i guess some thing easy for you

i did winnie the pooh but i think strawberry shortcake, precious moments or my little pony would be pretty awesome. for their first birthday the theme is just really for you and your friends as she really wonnt care too much at her age so just wing it or mix and match the theme. lol! piece of advice dont go for dora, princess or tinkerbell unless you want to be redoing themes over the next 5 or 6 years lol

I am doing a Purple Ladybug theme....her favorite stuffed animal is a ladybug and her best color is purple so BAM! Purple Ladybug Theme! And....ladybug cupcakes are super easy to make. The first birthday is really just family, keep it short and simple so the little ones don't tire out.

Find what she is interested in and go from there.harmony is really girly and loves Dora so I found princess Dora on Amazon and now she is all about princess' so it works and I found Disney princess' @walmart so she has those too. Stick with stuff she likes and have her help you choose the stuff for her room. Good luck and I bet it will be adorable!!!
