I do a private day home and because I am non-licensed I charge $30.00 a day. If there are two of them in the same family I charge $45.00 a day.

I have a local 17 year old who will watch my kids when ever I need her. She charges a FLAT 20 dollars, no matter the day or the time length. My kids are 3 and 5. She has watched them for a 9 hour day for the 20 dollars and wouldn't let me pay her any more.

I have a couple of different rates, depending on a few factors:

how old

am I providing food

how many hours/days week

But what I have found to be easier is to charge a flat rate.

$20 - $30 a day

or

$3 - $4 an hour

Where are you located is the question. In a small town I know people who charge $15 a day and others who charge $20 a day I would say a little more if your in a high demand area. Good Luck!!

I live in a small town and I charge $30.00 a day. Big places around me can charge as much as $60.00 a day.

It would also depend on if the parents were bringing there own food and snacks. From what I charge that includes food and snacks so if they wanted to bring there own I would probably charge less.

This price is for children that are at my house all day not a child that goes to school. look on craigslist in your area and ask some people. Then post a little bit cheaper.

i babysit for 2 children full time, 11 1/2 hours monday thru friday. i take them to and from school and make them breakfast lunch and dinner. the family pays me $50 per day, but to be honest i dont really think its a fair amount considering all of the driving, the long hours and the fact that there are 2 kids.

i work nights and so i have to have a sitter for my 9 month old in the evening. but i dont leave until 5 and she is down and stays down by 8 or 8:30 and i still pay 10 an hour. but i have to admit, when they are only doing 3 hours of work and the rest of the time they are watching my tv i get a little annoyed with the situation.

I do daycare and I charge 30-40 a day depending on the age of the child and if I am providing meals/snacks. I started by putting an add on a internet website for my community and then just asking people you know if they know any one who needs care. I would highly suggest making contracts as I didn't with one of the children I watch and it isn't working so well because there is no set "rules

I babysit also, and I charge $75/wk, if full time, then it's $15 dollars a day, if they want to go by that.

I would say most in home daycares charge about $150 per week or $30 per day. I pay my night babysitter $10 per hour for hours after 7pm.

I am a nanny and I charge 10 an hour at the minimum. I work for a few differant families and they all pay a differant ammount. If I was doing daycare. I would ask that they pay me $3 an hour if they're potty trained, $6 per hour if they are still in deipers. As the two of you get better at it you should start to charge more for new families esecially if the kids are benifiting as they would at a preschool by doing arts and crafts and teaching them a lession or two each day. You could only have so many kids per adult and that includes your own. Infants count as double and the ratio depends on what city you're in. You will want to have at least six kids in order to make a decent pay between the two of you. If I could I would open up for a daycare because that would be way more fun than being a nanny but there just isn't enuf room right now and to be honest I make more money as a nanny than I would expect to make doing daycare anyway. I hope it works out well for you.

I've been wondering that too. Even for just evening sitters. I remember getting $5 an hour, but much has changed since I babysat. What's fair nowadays?

Yes its a Monday to Friday, 6 hours or more thing. That depends on the parents work hours.

Is this a Monday to Friday, 6 hours a day type thing? If you're charging, say, 200 a month, that's a little over 2 dollars per hour.

I would say to get started, take a registered home daycare course.
