The denist told me that once they turn 1 any toothpaste that is ADA approved is best. Colgate toothpaste is ADA approved, OralB isn't. There are several others but I dont remember the names

i like the oral b type. as Christy said, it's fluoride free, and it is also one of the only ones that doesn't contain sodium lauryl sulfate (it is a cleaning detergent used to make bubbles that's added to soap and shampoo and stuff like that)

My son doesn't have any teeth yet( he is only 6 months) but i use the Gerber Grins & Giggles, its an infant tooth and gum cleanser, and its safe to swallow.......i asked the doctor about using it before i started and she said that it was good to use as long as it is safe to swallow......good luck

I use Oral B brand for babies. I started it when my daughter was 1yr old. I didn't know about anything before then..other than water lol. This brand doesn't have floride in it either. I took her to the dentist after her first birthday and the dentists said that brand was acceptable.
