When can a pregnancy test tell if your pregnant?

I was 3 weeks pregnant when I found out, and only three days late,, I took two, one was first first responce, and the 2ed was just least expective one they had, Took both the same night

This is very complex. Every woman is different in the amount of HCG (pregnancy hormone) they have when pregnant. An early result test, depending on the brand, can detect pregnancy as low as 20 mIU. Some women get that level of HCG early on, but others like myself dont until after a missed period or later.

I took mine 2 weeks after my missed period lol I got nauseaded from the smell of bacon. I took 4 and n 20 secs they turned out positive. just wait a little longer and if you dont start take a home test :)

I certainly hope no one tells you that you are wrong for wanting a child.. They are a blessing, some are unworthy. I will tell you though, don't breed em if you can't feed them and breast is best. In my experience, Some can tell 5 days after missed cycle and some after 2 weeks. Either way, good luck, God Bess

I got a faint positive line 4 days before my period was due. That had been the first time we tried though, so that is why I was testing so early. Most aren't positive 'til a woman misses her period.

congratulations, i had my first at twenty and hes 8 yrs old now my youngest is nearly three n i wud really love another one as i feel the times is rite but i keep having alot of late periods one time i was a week late i did preg tests n all were negative n eventally i wud get my periods but i realyy struggled to get preg with my second as i didnt have a very good natural birth with my first and it caused upset inside so to carry my second i had to take asprin to carry full twerm now im worried i may not beable to have anymore kids cus my body may not be healthy enough inside to carry n concieve i mean im too days late today and last month i was four so dnt know what to do anty help wud be good xxx

buy a prego test from walmart and follow the instructions if ur prego the first line will b dark blue and the second line with b lighte blue, i had tryed for a whole year b4 i got prego and i never thought i was and my father in law told me to go buy a prego test, so i went and bought a cheap one and it said i was prego i didnt believe it so 2 weeks later i took another one and it said the same thing so then i went to the doctor and it was confirmed i was. but u should wait to take the test about a week or 2 after ur period to get the best results

Most OTC pregnancy tests say "up to X days before your missed period". Heightened smell isn't the only "symptom" so evaluate if you have any of the others as well. You say you've had "all", so if you still think so, go back to the doctor and ask for a BLOOD test - the hormones that increase during pregnancy are more detectable in smaller "doses" so to speak, in blood rather than urine.

My girlfriends first daughter didn't show up on a test till she was 3 months pregnant. It all depends on how much hormones you are producing are in your body..

Wait a few more days and take another test. If it still says negative, ask the doctor for a blood test.

Bright yellow pee indicates dehydration, nothing to do with pregnancy. Or it could go yellow if you have been taking a lot of vitamins.

I did'nt get my period.It's two days late.

I have bright yellow pee.

Cramping&constipation,nausea,and sore nipples.

not to mention the increased hunger,and the fatigue.

If its before a missed period its usually early to tell since you wouldnt have alot of the hormone in your system yet(unless it were a multiple birth lol). Id wait til after the missed pd then test.

Sometimes your mind can actually make you think that you are pregnant b'cuhs you want be. I read a study on how your mind can practically convince your body of anything. But, it usually takes up to 2 weeks. That's how long I wait before I get tested. & love, they tested POSITIVE everytime. Now Imma' happy Mama to 5 kiddo's. =) ! Good Luck to you & your boyfriend. They did the test with the dropper,so it probably did'nt even work.I asked for a blood test but they refused.

It depends on what test you take. Some are early detection and can be taken up to 7 days before your period is due. Check the tests and see how early they say they can detect.
