i started my girls on weetabix and porridge etc at about 4 months. My eldest wolfed it down, she is a human bin! but my second wasnt so keen and still hates those 2 foods now! they'll eat what they like, and its great these foods really fill them up so they sleep for longer! yay! I use to do porridge before bed and milk when they were that age too. My girls slept whole nights from 6 weeks! love carbs!
If your concerned stick to 'BABY' cereals, they have no salt and sugars etc x

i use milk direct from my cows (i'm a dairy farmer) but that's my choice as maxence had so many problems with formula he's been on cows milk since he was about 5 months old, a lot of people on this forum think what i do is wrong

wheatabix is a cereal that you can buy in the uk for sure and in other countries, basically it's wheat and comes in an oval shape, when you mix it with milk it goes all soggy and perfect for feeding babies. Maxence loves them

i started feeding Tatiyana rice, oatmeal and mixed fruit cereal at four months but now she is eating fresh carrots, sweet potatoes, bananas and rice, and she loves it all. I am still breastfeeding but only at night time. The blender comes in handy!

My son started feeding on wheatbix when he was about 6 months old. He loves it and i have started giving him various varieties to ensure he doesn't get border by eating one thing all the time

they 'say' cereals r bad before one, but i think if there tummy handles it when u try it, should be ok. if u r terribley worried ask your doctor or search the net for details.
