How old where your little ones and what was their weight and height when you took them out of the infant seat and put them in the rear facing convertible?

Sharmaine- I used a sling with both of my kids, and since they are 3 years 4 months apart the older one was more than old enough to sit in the basket while the baby was in a sling. My son was 8pounds 3ounces and 21.5 inches when he was born so he fit nicely in the convertible, and my daughter was 6pounds 13ounces and 18.5inches so she was a little small but they have those positioners so she fit. I just figured I would skip a step with the carriers. I had custody of my niece who is 14 months older than my son and when I got her she was in a carrier and I HATED it I never took it out of the car.

Jennifer how did you do it with no carrier? I mean some stores dont have a seat for baby on their carts and that is the only thing stopping me

Neither of my kids were in a carrier, both have always been in a convertible seat. My son turned around ffacing after he turned 3, my daughter on the other hand is 21 months and 30 pounds so we will see how long it takes for those last 5 pounds before we have to turn her.

My son is 9 1/2 months right now and I am starting to look at convertibles to get for him because he is getting too tall for his infant seat. He is 21lbs and 28" tall.

My girls only ever had a convertible and we forward faced them about a week before they turned one.
My son switched to a convertible around 9 or 10 months old... close to 20 pounds. He rearfaced til 3.25 years old and 32ish pounds... not sure on his height, but he was 25% for weight and height at his 3 year check up. The only reason I forward faced him was cuz I didn't want him to hit the weight limit (35 pounds) for rear facing and me not know it. Turns out that I could STILL have him rear facing at 3 years 8 months cuz he's only 33.5 pounds right now! ;)

I think my daughter was about 9 months old, but she is very tall, I kept her rear facing until about 18 months
