ok! heres one for you all- Havent had a period in a year since i had my daughter. ofcourse i had the 4-6 weeks of post partum bleeding but since then nothing. I BF her, havent exclusively BF in about 5 months and still no period. I used to be able to tell when i ovulated but not anymore. SO my question is... how long after having intercourse should you take a HPT

I always waited until I was 4 to 5 days late, and took it the first thing in the morning(before I had anything to eat or drink)....when the HCG levels are stronger!!! Good Luck!!!:0)

Thanks for the advice. I will take home pregnancy test this week. I hope it's positive this time. We've been working out our 2nd baby for the past 2 years.

with my son and this time around I tested 2-3 days before my period, and this time it even worked at night, but if your going to test early on make sure you dont drink or eat much threw the night and test with first morn sample

hey, congrats. i took my home test about 5 days after i was to get my period. any time then you should be good. wait at least a few days just in case. good luck

i have always been told the first day of your missed period but i think you can get mid cycle tests now so you can test sooner :)
