Start with pampers swaddlers and then switch to the pampers baby dry, DONT USE HUGGIES THEY LEAK HORRIBLY, pampers are your best choice!

I love Luvs diapers my daughter can wear one all night and pee and still be dry in the morning...but you really do need to see which brand works better for you rchild because she could be allergic to certain brands. I have had many friends tell their children couldn't wear name brand and because their childrens butts would break out majorly so they had to wear no name brand. basically it depends on what your daughter prefers.

Well, we went through, pampers, huggies, babies r us brand, and kroger...after three months we went from pampers to huggies and tried babys r us and huggies were better, they have stretchy velcro-like straps. Kroger brand is my emerency go-to in the car and for almost a year we haven't had a leak in either kroger or huggies. but we went with the size three after three months and he was always at 50% for weight.

If you can afford them, I like Earths Best which I bought at Babies R Us. If you don't: I always bought the Walgreens diapers. They worked just fine and still do!

when my daughter was a newborn all the way up to size 1s she used pampers sensitive with the yellow tabs and i loved them. i wish their sizes in those went up higher cause now she is in a 3 and i loved those the most. i tried luvs before and didnt like them, they feel like plastic and dont stretch that great, and the pampers sensitive in size 3s are the same way. now i use huggies, i love them a lot. they stretch very good, and my baby sleeps all through the night and has NEVER leaked through them. but it all depends on ur baby because certain diapers may fit differently or may cause an allergic reaction.

I like Huggies diapers and pampers wipes. We have tried all sorts of diapers and my daughter has sensitive skin. But this worked best for me.

the first baby is always the one who gets everything nice but i am here to tell you that 2nd baby gets yardsales clothes cheap diapers and all ,my first son's baby book is full 2nd is not so full sorry being honest trying to give the best answer after all that money you spend on diapers and it will be alot about 3/4 years of buying diapers ...go with the cheapest diapers all they do in them well you know lol i am tellin the truth ,no diaper rash with the cheap ones either unless you don't change their diapers ..do what you fel is best ..the cost of diapers are crazy and clothes and a sitter .girl it adds up save some money $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I have a 20 month old girl and a 7 month old boy. Both my kids have very sensitive skin and I tried every kind of diaper possible to see which would not make their bottoms red. Huggies snug n dry are the only diapers that worked. I've used Pampers some too, but they always seem to swell up and get squishy if even a little liquid gets on them.

I use pampers either Dry max or swaddlers they seem to work best for my son, the times that i have used Huggies on him they wouldnt last long and he'd pee right threw them and the pamper wasnt even soaked. I hav also tried Luvsbut didnt like the way they felt they feel sort of like a plastic material and u can hear very movement when ur son/daughter moves... Pampers swaddles I love the cotton like material and they really last thru out the night.Hope this helps and Congrats on ur baby girl motherhood is a blessig.:)

I used the Pampers Swaddlers until she was in size 2 and sleeping on her tummy, they leaked every night! Then we switched to Target brand, and they work great! Cheaper too. Although they aren't really made for crawlers, so soon as she is in size 3 we will prob switch back to Cruisers.

Honestly I like the walmart brand of diapers the best, I think they are called Parents Choice.. all the other brands seem to give my boys diaper rash. Huggies are our close 2nd though. They do give my boys slight diaper rash but nothing like the other brands.

Like most of the mama's have already said, it really just depends on your daughter. I would just try everything and see what you like best :)

I really like pampers, I have twin girls that are almost five months and havent leaked once. I also use huggies for a very short time because i was changing their clothes almost every time i changed their diapers.

My husband and i tryed Pampers swaddlers first and we like them for newborn and then we changed to huggies for cost friendly BUT now that pampers has a new line out called pampers cruisers dri max they are worth EVERY penny they last longer and do not leak like huggies...Haven't tried luv's because they feel like stiff hard plastic i don't see putting a child in something you wouldn't wear.Huggies snugglers NB are great for the umbilical cord but also you could fold pampers swaddlers top down under the cord too. hope this helped

We are having our fourth baby in 3 weeks, and absolutely swear by Pampers swaddlers for a newborn. I would not use another diaper on brand new baby. However, once the baby gets to cruising around we actually found that the Wal-Mart brand worked the best and were less expensive. We are actually going the cloth route with number four, but have a box of Swaddlers to use until the belly button is healed and we will use pampers for the diaper back when we are on the go for a long day. Huggy's leak...even when you change the diaper often. IT is a pain to have to change bedding 2 or three times a night or outfits multiple times a day because the diapers don't do what they are supposed to. Luvs are too plastic-y

i use pampers...reason being is because with the el-cheap-o diapers you got what you paid for and with huggies my son broke out into a rash. my ma said my oldest brother and i were sensetive to huggies & my middle brother was sensetive to pampers (that drove her nuts!).

my suggestion would be to see what the hospital uses on her & if she doesn't react, buy that brand.

we personally use cloth. we got g-diapers which you can look at on www.gdiapers.com
They have inserts that are bio friendly; they can even be flushed. We have found these are the best for us. I will consfess that for the first few months we used cloth folded into pampers. All in all, you have to just try small packs and see what works best for you and your little one. Congrats!

I have tried all sorts of different diapers and Luvs is definitely my favorite for now, my daughter is 6 months and not crawling yet, so that may change my mind once that happens. They are very reasonably priced and I have never had a problem with them.

btw, another thing i would try to do is switch up the diapers. for example use the good diapers of your choice for nights but during the day alternate your favorite diapers w/ a cheaper diaper or storebrand. i say this because nothing touched my daughters butt besides pampers or huggies until she was about 9 months old. then we fell short for money and put a storebrand diaper on her, i think it was parents choice, and she broke out with a horrible diaper rash all over! she winded up being sensitive to them bc her skin was so used to the good ones. you never know if u might have to end up using cheaper diapers for w.e reason so thats just a little word of advice in case you fall into that situation, esp. w/ a girl. i found they get rashes sooooo much easier than boys do.

i think pampers do work best for girls and huggies work better on boys. i have one of each 2 and 6 months and only ever used pampers or huggies but my daughter seemed to leak through huggies and my son leaks through pampers. either way i would deff use pampers swaddlers or sensitive for size NB-1 bc they are soooo much softer than huggies and pampers also has a line in the very small sized diapers that turns green when the baby soils it bc when there newborns there pee is such a small amount, sometimes you can be unsure as to if theyve soiled there diaper or not. goodluck!

I have a little boy (4 mouths)and we have used pampers swaddlers, huggies, huggies sngglers, huggies pure and natural, luvs and some store brands. I liked the pampers swaddlers when he was a new born. But when he started to poop more about the time he want to size 1 I then liked the luvs I think they stop the poop leaking the best. i think loves are basically like parents choice which i dont like eithe huggies are rough and leak specially at night time pampers are amazing though and so soft the other are so rough the swadlers smell good and are so soft and do good with leaks even a night time then when baby got bigger i got her the crusers and they are ok i prefuse the baby dry pampers though they are less bulky and also soft and smell really good pampers are my #1 chioce

Pampers are the best. The one thing I have heard lots of and have been through myself is girls and Huggies dont mix. My daughter and many other baby girls get a rash from something that is in the Huggies brand. I LOVE PAMPERS, I have tried lots though and got back to Pampers. Pampers all the way and for the occasion of being cheap i also use luv's, Both my kids have leaded out of huggies. Pampers over 8hr and still no leaks (overnight sleeping)

I agree with Pampers Swaddlers. Before my son came everyone got me diapers, all different brands, so I did try them all but always kept going back for Pampers. Then went to Pampers Cruisers Max Dry, they started getting too expensive so I went to a different brand and every morning I have to wash my son's sheets because he leaks through them so once again back to Pampers I go!!!! No matter the cost because they are well worth it!

I love Huggies. I've tried the others and they didn't work well for me and my 2 girls (I have an 18 month old and a 2 month old-both girls). I haven't had any problems with leakage or anything. I really recommend Huggies.

I used Pampers swaddlers for my son, then I went to the cruisers, but once they swapped to the drymax I absolutely HATE them!!!! But I have found some of the regular Pampers swaddlers (without drymax) at stores like dollar general, etc. So within the next few weeks I will be stocking up on them so when my baby (due in Feb) gets here, I will have good diapers.
My son is now using Target brand diapers because I dont really like the huggies for him either....Im hoping to find a brand that I love as much as I love the regular (drymax free) Pampers.

I have 2 boys. I used pampers for my son Evin b/c huggies always leaked. Evin is 9 now and diapers have come a long way. With my son James, I started with Pampers, but Costco only had Huggies and my mother in law bought them and I only use them now. They have never leaked, and they don't smell when he wets them (all types of LUVS smell terribly) Also, you can purchase them for around $40.00 depending on the size there are 205 in size 3. They usually last about a month.

when u first start use the swaddlers and when she gets up in size 2 or 3 then go to huggies they hold more.....dont try luvs "they dont show n luv" they work but u would have to change her after 1 or 2 pees

I use cloth diapers from www.wallypop.net and www.littlepaddedseats.com! They are awesome! Better for Baby, the environment, and your wallet!! When I use disposables, I like Seventh Generation, Earth's Best, or Luvs.

I have 2kiddos a girl and a boy.Ive used em all and ive found that huggies are the best!! they dont leak and even through an entire night no leak or wetness.luvs ive found when they get a lil full the start to seap throughout the diaper.

We started out with the pampers swaddlers and we loved them! We continued using pamers cruisers when our son grew out of the swaddlers, but we had to switch when pampers changed the product to dry max. My son was severly allergic to the dry max and since then we have been using the huggies pure and natural and they work very well for us, no allergies, no leaks!!! Our son was also allergic to the luvs as well, I don't know if it is the dye that they use because they are blue inside and the pampers which used to be white (before they changed to dry max) are now purple inside. The huggies pure and simple are all white inside with no dye and no chlorine and we will probably use them with our next baby due in Oct just to be safe. They are a little more expensive, but it is worth it! Hope you find what works best for you, I wouldn't get too many of one brand or size until you know how big your baby is and what works best for her! Congrats and best wishes!!!!

Honestly it really is how your baby pees and which diapers fit her best. My baby couldn't be on Huggies because they just didn't fit the same as pampers. I was told a good middle ground is Luvs, but I've never used them. I use the pampers 12 hours. My daughter has never had an issue in these.



Also as your child grows the type of diaper that fits her best might change. :)

I have a little girl and use luvs during the day and huggies at night I didn't like pampers.. I use luvs during the day because they are cheaper and you change the diaper enough where it doesn't really matter. I use huggies at night because my daughter pees thru the luvs and pampers so huggies have been the only ones that have been able to hold it since she started sleeping 12 hours. best of luck trial and error if the only way to see what works best for you.
