Which type of stroller is best!?

I'm 14 weeks pregnant with my first child and my parents, grandparents and in laws are asking me what I would like them to buy for the baby and I'm getting really stumped on strollers!
I already decided that I want one of those three on one car seats (rear facing, front facing and booster seat) so that it can grow with the child and that eliminates car seat/stroller combos. Would a smaller stroller be the best option for me rather than one of those huge bulky expensive ones I don't really see the point of them but then again I've never been a mom, help me out ladies how do I decide what kind of stroller will be the best for my family!

I wouldn't use anything other than a Maclaren. I have the techno XLR which is the one that has the bar that attaches for the infant carrier to go in it. They easily fit to run around stores and is light enough to use if you want to go for a walk or run. It can be used one handed and has a basket underneath for "stuff". The canopy also extends down and will almost completly cover the entire seat. It also folds down to the size of an umbrella stroller. If you have a baby store (Buy Buy Baby or Babies R Us) near you I would reccomend going and testing the floor models and see what you like. I would also highly reccomend considering the infant carrier instead of going straight to a convertible. It is very helpful having the baby in a safe place to go in and out of places especially in the winter when you can put a Bundle Me on the seat to keep them warm. It is best not to put them in bulky coat/buntings because you can't tighten the car seat straps enough with them on.

We got the travel system for my daughter when she was born. It was November and being able to take her from the car and put her on the stroller while keeping her warm was great, but it was a big stroller. Very nice for us because we went to the park often. The only thing was that it was kind of a pain to move the stroller from car to car all the time. We now have a stroller we got for $25 at Wal-Mart that we use. It's not an umbrella stroller, but it's pretty only a little bit bigger and has a canopy and basket underneath.. and I can hang my purse from the handle and it doesn't fall over like the umbrella stroller grandma has. It's a little annoying that the handle is kinda low and it's easy to kick it while you are walking but we would rather deal with that than have a huge stroller (that she doesn't want to sit in for very long anyway before she wants down to explore!). It's all about preference, really. In my opinion, just get a nice umbrella stroller, the ones that are about $80, unless you are going to be going on a lot of walks with her when she is too little to hold her head up.

I LOVED the travel system (the stroller/carseat combo) but my son was born in the winter so it was warmer for him....As for just buying a stroller and what kind....i think it depends on how much and where you are going to be using it....If its just going to be used in the mall or at small shops, then a smaller stroller would be fine...if you are going to be going walking and out and about alot, then you might want to go with a medium size stroller....I have the graco stroller, and i love it, it is big enough for all of babys stuff, but also fits through the store when we go shopping at the mall....http://www.target.com/1757816-Passage-Tr... have one like that just a different pattern....hope i helped....good luck and congrats
