Well most of the time babies start losing hair went they stat moving more. When you lay them down they look around turning their head repeatedly an that cause the hair loss. My daughter had the same thing happen. It'll grow back just mean their active!

the original baby hair all falls out, and new hair grows in by 6 months according to my doctor. My 3 month old has a serious case of old man hair!! Don't worry, all babies do this!

It is a normal cycle for the babies but if the hair doesnt eventually grow back make sure to consult the pediatrician. Just give it time though, all babies go thru this. :)

He probably is just rubbing his head against something so he's losing his baby hair. Most babies loose hair like that. It will grow back. no worries! :)

Yea my little man is 3 months old and losing hair. He is starting to get that little balding line on the back of his head. He came out with a head full of hair that went from straight to curly. I hate that he is losing it but I know it will grow back thicker. Me and my husband have thick hair.

The same thing is happening to my son. I was hoping it wouldn't, but here we are lol. We're calling him patches now :-).

But seriously, it's normal that your 3 month old is losing his hair. My little guy was born with full head of hair, so I was expecting it to happen.

My son was born with a mass of dark hair. It all fell out during the first month and grew back VERY slowly and much lighter.

[deleted account]

it's his baby hair falling out, or if you notice him scratching his head alot he could be pulling it out. don't worry about it too much. his hair will grow back in

Its pretty normal for a 3 month old to be losing hair. My son was born with a head full of hair, it wasn't very long though. At about 5-6 weeks I noticed it was receding, as well as rubbing off around the back where his head was rubbing on his sheets and by 6 months he was bald. He is now 22 months and has a head full of hair. Don't worry it will grow back!

My daughter did the same thing but around 1 month old...but by 3 months it was all grown back. So no worries it is just that initial baby hair, some lose it and some dont. But if you're worried about your 3 month old losing hair you can always call ur ped.

The first hair babies are born with is called lanugo. Everyones baby will lose it as their real hair and starts growing in. Also its normal for them to have kind of like bald or fuzzy patches where they lie on the back of their heads and on the sides called vellus.

My children are inter-racial, so when they were born their lanugo was straight, silky black and as their "african american hair" starting coming in (in awkward patches at first lol) their lanugo started rubbing off or falling out.

Don't worry too much. It's normal for babies to shed their hair due to sleeping on it. My baby girl was losing hair when she was 3 months old, too. Everytime she wakes up from a nap, there would always be hair on her pillow. My husband shaved her head and her baby hair so that new hair would grow thicker. Her hair is much more full and thick now.

This is normal. My son was born with a head full of black hair, just abt all of it fell out except a spot in the back. He was bald for a while, now he has dirty blonde hair! He didn't get his first haircut until he was 14months old, and the reason for that was bc there was a patch in the back that never fell out & it was longer than the rest, it almost looked like a rat tail!!! I remember I was bathing my son one night & I washed his hair with a washcloth & there was hair on the washcloth that I rubbed off! Lol. It'll grown back, it happens to lots of babies!

My daughter had a a full head of long hair when she was born. She lost it all except the top of her head where it wasn't able to rub on bedding. Once i stopped losing my hair, so did she. All of her hair is back now and has been for a few months. She's 11 months old.

Have no worries it will come back. Usually before the first birthday.

Dont worry. Its just from were they are lying on there head. in a few months when he can start rolling over he will probibly sleep in a different position and the hair will grow back. Since our generation puts there babies to sleep on there backs this has been a normal thing. Just keep making sure hes got enough time off of his head during the day to prevent flat head.

its very normal for a baby to loose their hair, they r constantly lying on their back and so their head rubs against everything hence losing his hair, don't worry it will grow back! :)
