Hi my name is Cindy, I am 29 now and really feeling old:( I am happy to be part of this group even if its just for alittle while.

I have two boys, 5 & 7 and they are wonderful little joys of life. Even if the challenges are hard at times. My boys are complete opp. if one says on the other says off. My oldest is very strong willed and while that will be a great character to have as he gets older it is very difficult to deal with now as the parent. My other child is very easy going, happy all the time, greatful, just a complete joy. I love my boys both the same but who ever said parenting is the hardest job, made a huge understatement!!

Anyone out there have any good tips for dealing with a strong willed child let me know, we can compare notes. I have read lots of books and have had great success with different things but what I have learned is things work for awhile then they need to be changed. My moto is try lots, use it while it works, then try again, and never stop coming up with new ideas.

So if anyone has anything to share drop me a line.

Thanks

Cindy

Hi Cindy, What tips do you have with dealing with sleeping through the night? My son is a little older than 2. He used to sleep through the night but doesn't anymore (for about the last month or two.). He cries saying there are monkeys in his room scaring him. We've kicked them out, told them they aren't welcome, sprayed "monkey repellent" in and around his room.....nothing works. I don't know where this came from but I definitely would like it to end. He used to have a pacifier but he gave it up a week ago tomorrow and has been doing really well, not even asking for it. But the other downside is he still drinks something in the middle of the night. ( I feel like a juice service sometimes....haha) Anyway - any tips to over come these trials would be fantastic! Happy Thanksgiving!
