I thought this would be an interesting conversation. My mother in law found out she was actually a grandmother at 32!!!! Her son didn't even know he was a father until his son was 14 years old!!! Know of anyone younger than yourself who has become a grandmother early?

My granddaughters other grandmother was 33 when she was born, I was 40. Neither one of our kids were ready for this & still aren't. Now at 46 I am a single mom/grandmother raising my granddaughter and have guardianship. As young as we all were it helps me today because I don't know that I could handle this as well if I were 10-20 yrs older. My granddaughter has called me mommy since she could talk. Sad!

My mom was 34 when I made her a grandma and a great-grandma at 57. I am 41 and a grandma which I have been waiting for, for awhile. Not by my 23 year old daughter or my 21 year old son or my 18 year old son but by my 15 year old son, he'll be 16 when the baby is born.

My aunt became a grandmother at 35 and a great grandmother at 53. She is now in her 70's and waiting the arrival of her first great great grandchild, due in the spring.
