what activities do you do with a toddler and a new born.?

O also dont feel like you have to go out to spend time with your toddler... just playing in the yard while the baby is napping or arts and crafts or playdough at the kitchen table... as long as she is still getting mommy and her time alone she wont care where its at!! Also my son loves to help me bake cookies and stuff...i measure it and he gets to pour it and helps me hold the mixer..try it and make cookies for daddy!! It makes the whole family happy!!

I am right there with you!! I have a 3 year old son and a 2 month old daughter and i am also breast feeding!! What i have found to be easy for me is i got both a sling and one of those front carriers...just depending on where im going and what your comfortable with on which one i use that way i can have my daughter with me but my hands are free for my son! Also i dont know how you feel about those leashes that are like the monkey back packs...at first i was skeptical but my son darts and he will take off and not look back so i got one for when i go out alone with both kids and he absolutly loves it..he even makes me put it on him around the house!! But going out with both kids is a big task and it took me a coupletimes before i got it down pack so maybe start with somehting small like a park with a fence around it and then work your way up to more stressful spots like the mall or chuckee cheeses where there are crowds and more distractions!

yea i understand how it is with a little one runnin around!! my son will b 2 in june is all over the place! but when i had just had my son i was takin care of my brother who has a lot of disorders and all of that junk but we all found it kinda fun to go to the park a bit.. my son still loves that! but yea it does help if u have someone with u just to help out a little.. and with the breast feeding i mean i guess u can still do it in public if ur comfortable with it.. lol but good luck and if that doesnt really work theres always like little games you could play with her when ur sons either sleeping or even when hes laying on the floor she can interact with him a bit!
