Baby shower suggestions

Hi, i'm due christmas day,and scheduling a c section for a week or two before,but i know how you feel. My family has finally decided to throw me a shower for end of November,but my mom suggested i do a shower after baby is born for the simple fact that more family will be down for christmas and boxing day shoping is great for catching deals. I like the idea simply because christmas is enough of an expense for the family,and bringing a new baby into the mix makes things a lot more expensive,so having the oppurtunity to catch some good deals is a great advantage for everyone.

Over here in the Netherlands baby showers aren't all that common. It's more common over here to hold "kraamfeestjes" Dunno how to translate that into English, but it's like a babyshower after the baby is born, like a baby welcoming party. I'm more keen on those, because you won't have people over at your house every day for the next three weeks after the baby is born. And you still get loads of gifts! lol On our baby announcement cards (which I already designed) we also put we'd love people to come over to visit the baby, but that we'd rather have them to come to the baby welcoming party/kraamfeest.

do a new years baby shower so that can see what get at christmas for the baby and can let guests know what baby really needs

Im due 25th December! lol
Im having my baby shower tomorrow 09 October.
It is my first. I do prefer that im having my baby shower a little early so that if I need to buy odd & ends that weren't given to me at the baby shower I won't be about to pop! And I don't need to rush.

I'm also due around Christmas time. This is our first baby =] We know we wont be able to travel for thanksgiving or christmas, so we took our vacation early this year. Both of our families live out of state, so a few weeks ago we visited both families and had a baby shower with each family =] and I also have another baby shower in october for my friends here in texas. I dont think theres anything wrong with having the shower early.. but having it after also allows everyone to see the baby and to buy specific gifts =]

i am due the 29th of dec with my 2nd child and this time its a lil boy too(: you poor thing that sounds really tricky, is there anyway you could push it forward and have it this month some people may miss out but at least you will have your baby shower wilst your still pregnant, if not maybe wait till new years eve and you could have a new years celebration for your new baby. i hope it all goes smoothly for you (:
