DS2 is 8 months old, and have yet to get my period back. We're EBF.

DS1 (my Dec 2010 baby), was formula fed, and I got it back when he was about 3 months old.

i had my daughter 8 months ago and i did'nt get a period til i took the period pills in October the in November i did'nt bleed then in December i started and ive been bleeding ever since for 4 months straight can someone help me on what i should do

I got mine after 2 months...and it lasted THREE weeks. Terrible lol. However, my friend got hers after 1 year. I asked the doctor about this when I had mine for so long, and she said everyone's body is different so some people get it quickly and some get it long after birth. Sorry this doesn't really help you with an expecting time...but that's my experience :)

My girl just turned 7 months and still no sign of 'aunty flo' not that I am complaining it's actually been really nice. I breastfeed on demand, so she goes down at about 8pm and wakes at 4ish and then around 6.30 so I feed her both times and then during the day. It hasn't helped with the weight loss this time and is totally different from my first baby. With him I bled for 6 weeks, and then 2 weeks later got my period and every month after. So this is great. Good luck and enjoy it while it lasts :)

i got my period today after 6 months of having my baby section. i heard your milk supply goes down sucks i had intercourse yesterday so im guessing that did it!! not worth it lol

My period came back when my baby was 1 year and a month old! I breastfed him until he completed 12 months. I don't know what's the relation, but it was like this. Don't worry too much, stress only delays it more. If you are not taking the proper birth control measures, then I'd advise you to talk to a doctor.

My baby is now 4 months and a week old. I still haven't got my period except the one that you get after baby is born which I got for few weeks. I had a csection. No birth control or anything just breast feeding and supplementing w formula. I was scared till I read everyone's post I thought I was pregnant!! I know a few people that got pregnant within 3 months of having baby

I had mine once(in march 2011) after the time u bleed after u give birth(forgot what thats called) and dint have it agian until october 2011....it scared me for a minute lol but i had my daughter in december...2010

Mine took 6 months and I had stopped breastfeeding at 8 weeks. Even after that it wasn't regular (every 6 weeks instead of 28 days) I only had 3 then I was pregnant again lol!!

i had mine for 5 weeks after my son then i got them back after two weeks after that the go for five days then stp nfor 2 days go for 2-3 days stop and then a week after that all ove again sometimes i get them in between that too for a day

My son is 4 months and 3 weeks and I still haven't started yet either. I went to the doc yesterday and they switched my birth control and said if I didn't start this month to call them and let them know. I was worried to if that was normal or not. I breastfed for a month and stopped because my son, unfortunately, is allergic to cows milk. So I haven't been breastfeeding for a few months now...but the birth control I was on was the kind you take while breastfeeding so it had no sugar pills and thats why I changed back to the normal pills

I also have 5mnth old, no period yet am on the mini pill. I am exclusively breast feeding. I was told that some people get them and others do not. Just as long as you know that you are not pregnant. I am yet to have a blood test. I am happy not to be having them.

I got mine back about a month after I had her. I had to call my dr and make sure it was that, my boyfriend and i had just had sex the night before i found myself bleeding and i had to make sure it wasnt my stitches. good luck!

i got mine back roughly after a month. my milk supply vanished after that so i stopped pumping. i've had my period 3 times and my son is 4 months old now.

i mix feed my daughter yet i still dont have my period yet...and now i suddenly stopped my breastfeeding and taking contraseptives im scared dat i might get pregnant again...although im experiencing a little cramps...

I bled for 6 weeks after she was born and then had the depo shot. I've been off of it for 3 months and no sign of Aunt Flo.

I just started my period last month and now I'm on it again. I didn't have a period for about 8 months after I had my son, breastfeeding for 4 1/2 months with him. I have been breastfeeding with my daughter, too, but already started my period. I don't know if it makes a difference or not, but I am 20 lbs heavier now then I was at the same time after my son.

Im in the exact same situation my daughter will be 5 months in a couple weeks and still no period :/ I get cramps like Im about to start but it never comes. Ive taken pregnancy tests so I know Im not pregnant. Someone told me the other day I need to go to the dr because not starting you period can be fatal -_- Kinda scared me but Ive heard of some women not getting their period back til their baby is a year old. I breastfed for exactly 6 weeks and I was on the mini pill for two months, Im off it now though so maybe that has something to do with it?

My baby is almost 5 months and I have not gotten my period...He was only breast fed the first 10 weeks...I only bled the first 4 weeks after having him...I didnt get one after my first son bc I was on the shot right after I had him...My son does not get up at all thru the night...He is sleeping 10 to 12 hours a night since he was 8 weeks old...

My daughter is 24 weeks old today, and I haven't gotten my period back, either. I've only had a bit of very light spotting. I called my doctor, and he said it was perfectly normal since I'm still breastfeeding and taking birth control. I'm just glad that my nemesis hasn't come back yet - it's certainly a nice change!

i just got my first period last week and my daughter is 3 months. my doctor told me it might be different then it was before pregnancy, and boy was he was right. it was the worst cramps ive had since i got it the first time. and, this might be too much info, but it hurts to use a tampon..... not sure why..... but i forgot how much i hated getting my period....:(

I exclusively bf my daughter ( born June 2, ) till end of August. but due to lack of weight gain...was told to start supplementing after bf with formula.. that month got my period. its now October a week later than the first period but its here.. :( and she is no longer bf, not by choice but out of necessity as she wasnt gaining weight.

I got my period after the intial month of shedding the lochia, and it has been like clockwork since. Breastfeeding is going fantastic, my son sleeps for about 5-6 hours after i put him to bed, and then 2-3 times in the early morning.

My daughter just turned 3 months, and I finally got my first cycle last week. I was starting to get a bit worried as I know I started @ 6 weeks after my son. But I did read online that if you breastfeed or pump that your cycles can be delayed. But I was very heavy for the first 3-4 days... sorry if that's TMI. Every woman's body and cycles are different. I'm sure yours will come back in time, but try not to stress about it. If you get too concerned you can always contact your obgyn. :)

With my 1st daughter I breastfeed for 8 months, 2 weeks after I stopped breastfeeding I got my period. I have a 3 month old, still breastfeeding and no period yet!!!

The day after my baby turned 6wks, I got my period for 7 days. Then 7 days after that I spotted for 3 days. My baby is now 13 wks old and I havent gotten another period. I keep thinking Im prego, but I have been on the pill, and breastfeeding and using a condom everytime. Still I took a test and still negative. Is this normal?

I'm going a little longer this time too I think. I believe I have started around 4 months, but maybe a little later. I may have started at 6 months with one of them. Anyways, my little girl is 5 months and still no signs.

5 months is still very early. My son is 17 months and I still don't have my period. Some women don't get theirs for 2 - 3 yrs. Enjoy it!

yea alyssa i couldnt really tell with me i had a c-section and i was bleeding then i thought i stopped and thought it was my period but i was still in recovery but almost a month after i believe i had it but like i was telling others it just a few days and it doesnt last long as well as sometimes it doesnt come just wierd that way

I had understood, from my mum and my baby doc ( who is my aunt!) that they never got theirs back until AFTER they stopped nursing. Soi plan to continue as long as i can.. After my first son ( a stillbirth)i helped my aunt who was unable to bring in her own milk, i nursed her daughters for 14 months.. never got my period back until after i stopped..

I got my period in beginning of July, I had my daughter May 11th but have not had it come back since.. its kinda annoying!! Im not sure why it has not come back yet, is this normal for any of you too??

My son has slept through the nice since he was 10 weeks. I also nurse and pump when I'm at work. I got my period with my first child right around 6 months but haven't had one yet this time around. I have had some cramping and thought I was going to...but not yet! Yay!

I also have not had a monthly since I bled for my 6 weeks.. This is my 5th child 4th live birth and third daughter. my other pregnancies and births my peroids wereback within a month. my daughter is also breastfed as were all of my other children.
