my babys heart beat yesterday on ultrasound was 143 i am 17.4weeks.... was 143 the other day too, at 6 week ultrasound it was 151

mine was like 152 or something at 12 weeks at 19 weeks it was 140 something its a girl :)

thanx everyone for your comments... I do know what im having but not saying anything to anyone incase ppl i know may be on here lol.....My baby is healthy and growing well at the 18 week scan. but no doubt they will keep a close eye on me because its my 7th child and my last one was iugr (in uterus growth restriction)

My baby had a heartbeat that varied from 160, 155, and 140. I think that it's normal to vary, especially as the baby is growing. Like Tamira said, your doctor will let you know if there is anything to be concerned about. As for the whole sex thing, I'm having a boy.

Your doctor or the person who performed the ultrasound will tell you if there is a concern or not.

Lower heart beats tend to be boys. My first son had a lower heart rate and the current baby has a lower heart rate too (also a boy)! But that is heart rate predictor a wives' tale and don't put too much stock in those.
