Unsolicited Advice

Does anyone get that unsolicited advice when they are out and about? Just because my boyfriend and I look young doesn't mean we don't know what we are doing!



For example:

In line buying diapers at Wal Mart and this lady starts lecturing me that he shouldn't be sitting up. He is in his carseat - part of a Travel System, so it attaches to the stroller. When I explained this to her, she started arguing with me.



Or awhile back when we were buying groceries this old lady asked how old he was, and I said 6 days,and she goes, "Ugh why would you dress him in so few clothes? The youth today..." It was 34*C out and he was in a romper!



Or I constantly get "He's only 6 weeks old and you are out and about? That poor thing should be at home!"



Drives me up the wall! Anybody else constantly get this?

Sometimes it doesnt end when you're a young mom ! lol I'm 37, have a 16yr old and have recently become stepmom to 2 young girls. There's an old lady at work that regualrly tells me unsoliceted advise. So sometimes that's just how it is.

I would double check with friends/family if you are not sure whether you are doing the right thing. When I first became a mom I admit there were things I could have done better, but there are alot of things that I did right. Dont forget to pat yourself on the back for what you have done right.

All the time.
My first one was an old lady, I had zach in a sling and his foot was sticking out, now he was like 3 days old and he was born a with like a blue tinge to his skin that didn't go away for about 3 weeks after birth, nothing serious just the way he was born. So this lady comes up, grabs his foot and was like how could you let your little brother get so cold you should tell you mother, and I was like this is my son and he is naturally blue, must have sounded like an idiot but funny.

yes from shop assistants and everything! It annoys me, but i just smile and nod politely then forget about it! I mean hello its my child i think i can look after her!!! Plus if u want advice u wouldn't ask a complete stranger would you!!!!
