I recommend finding a playgroup on Meetup.com. I'm SAHM too and I joined one here in my city and have had a blast interacting with all the other moms and their families.

Hey Angela, sometimes the answers are right under your nose. I say there are a lot of positive sistas in this forum, including myself, that's looking for a chat mom-friend. If you are interested, email me.

Hi Angela! I was a stay at home mom for a little while before my son started school, and you're right, sometimes it does get a little lonely. I know u posted all this a while ago, but if you need some advice, and I'm on, I'm willing to help any way that i can. I have a six year old son and one child on the way. I have been married since April of this year, and trust me, I am not a stranger to the hundreds of issues that come with being not only a mom, but a woman. Hit me up sometime if you need to. Bye!

check out www.meetup.com and you'll be able to put in your zipcode and what kind of thing your interested in and you'll be able to find like minded mommies in your area to do playdates with.

Wow...I guess I can classify myself as a SAHM too...but recently I decided to go back to school to get my Associates and I feel sooo much better about it...I mean granted I wanted to work but finding a job is not easy...and finding affordable daycare is even harder...try to get out and socialize like Sherron said...it really does help!!

When I became pregnant with my first child....My husband and I relocated and I was transformed into a SAHM. And, I hated it...and my detest for my position increased after my son was born...since the onset of the baby blues become more intense. So, when my son was 8 months of age I returned to school and completed some post-bachelors studies and earned a second degree. That seemed to help with my SAHM blues...lol

Currently I am a SAHM too and I had the same problem. If you type in play groups and your zip code it will pull up a bunch of playdates or meet up groups for women who are likely in the same situation. You can find moms to hang with, exercise with, etc

I'm a SAHM too and it drove me crazy for the first few months. Then I decided to find something to do with my "free time", I started an at home biz. That way, I am still there with my kids, but I have something to do too. It's working out great for me.
