Finger foods

My lil man is 10 and 1/2 months old now, I want to start him on some finger foods, but not sure what to try. He is finicky to things that are squishy to the took :) e has only been eating puffs (that melt in his mouth).... everything else is baby jar food (stage 2, he doesn't like the stage 3 chunky stuff!)..... any ideas?

he will get used to the chunky texture soon enough. babies can become very lazy, if they don't have to chew it, they won't. my daughter hates jar food, the textures are weird and they can't get a proper taste for individual foods. try steaming some veggies and just mashing them with a fork to a texture between stage 2 and stage 3 untill he get's used to it, then gradually mash it less and less every couple of days. that way you can controll the consistency and he will barely notice it. as for finger foods, ivy enjoys cheese sandwiches, frozen peas (sound weird but are great for their gums), crackers, finely cut fruits like apple, pear , bananna. blueberries are great, but messy.
my daughter has been eating the family meal with us for a few months now, just cut up finely. she can even use a fork!

My son loves his finger foods, but it did take some trying to get him to try new things. When it comes to introducing foods, babies usually reject the first attempt. I found that I just need to keep offering, sometimes even pushing it into his mouth...once he truly tastes the flavors then he is willing to eat.

And if that doesn't work, simple curiosity does the trick. Our 10 month olds explore by putting things in their mouth, so if my son refuses food, I just leave it on his highchair tray. He plays with it, and eventually it ends up in his mouth.

Foods to try: Canned veggies or fruits because they are soft, cheese sticks, crackers, cheesy bread, little pieces of meat, melon, bananas, scrambled egg yolk, beans, pasta, and rice.

My son eats lots of finger foods. I feed him cut up chicken nuggets, cooked peas, carrots, green beans, buttered toast cut into pieces, ripe bananas, pears, cantalope cut-up, mac and cheese. Theses are just a few.
