Every once in a while my baby will get a weird red rash on her belly. Like, pink quarter sized spots all over her belly. Just wondering if this is due to my hard water/high iron in water or could it be ezema?

I would try giving her bottled drinking/distilled water to see if it goes away. If it goes away then chances are it's the water... if not then it may be something else.

My baby has had serious dry skin due to our hard water. He got cradle cap and had flakes on his arms and legs. I used foderma serum twice a day for less than a week and both cleared up!

Hard water can definitely cause skin problems especially for younger children. I would advise getting a water softener right away! I have had a good experience with Kinetico. Here's a link of where I'd suggest to get a water softener.

My Mom's a nurse and she told me to use Eucerin cream as well, however, when I went to buy it I found that it's basically the same thing as the Aveeno extreme moistureizer (the bottle with blue writing). I also saw a baby ezema cream that nearly identical to the eucerin. I'd give it a shot though if the Aveeno isn't working. WalGreen's also makes a generic version of the Renew intesive lotion...saves on money!

I love Aveeno!! We also use a bit of A&D ointment too. The doctor said something about Ucerin(sp?) cream and when I mentioned this to a coworker she said it was the best stuff. I haven't rushed right out to buy it yet b/c it doesn't seem to bother her too much. It just looks unpleasent :)

My daughter has this all over the back of her knees...basically in her rolls, I had thought just dry skin but the hard water thing makes me wonder. I've been using Aveeno Baby lotion and it's helping.
